Many races of people have suffered from the backlash of wars from other countries throughout the world. The United States is no different in our war with Mexico. It's just that America became so relaxed & greedy in allowing so many immigrants to enter that now our government can't afford to support them all. The typical American worker was replaced and or out sourced many years ago. So anyone coming in now from land, sea, or plane is gonna have to follow our laws and wait in line like everyone else.

No more "entitled" to it than I am to go to Germany, Ireland, France or England since those are places my ancestors came from. I suppose I could ask nicely, but they can still say no.
It's like selling your house and then having the great-great-great grand children come back and throw the new occupants out. I don't care what was.....we're here now. What's done is done....it's not theirs anymore due to loss of war or selling or voting or anything. Why don't they go back to Mexico and throw out their own that were from Spain? Makes about as much sense.
Besides it still doesn't explain their presence here.....I'm way too far north for Atzlan or any of their other land. So by past thoughts or todays laws......there's a whole load of illegals who don't "belong" here.

I dont believe they are "entitled" but I do believe they should have a right.
We need to look at each and every individual and see why they fled here illegally. Each and every persons circumstances where different and if there really is a legit reason and they are not drug pushers, murderers, or rapists then by all means they should be allowed here.
I think border patrol should show a little more compassion to Mexicans...since it is a FACT that most of the Mexicans are not the terrorists we are trying to keep out.
So "entitled" not so much, we did buy this land....But given rights to be here I believe we should grant them!

If thats the case, America should give back Mexico their land move all the American industries and people in its original territoiry. It wont make a difference because Mexicans would still illegally pass the new border.

That land was won in battles, and/or purchased. It belongs to the United States citizens. Besides that, we are talking over a hundred years ago, no one is alive that expierenced it, so because of that mexicans don't have a claim, unless there is a 200 year old mexican that can remember and testify and show proof that the land was wrongfully taken...

If we "stole" more of Mexico, they wouldn't be infiltrating this country like they do. They leave Mexico because it sucks. They would stay there if it were part of the U.S.
Their gov't sucks and that is why they leave for the land of milk and honey. They want what they can not create for themselves. Sorry the Spanish screwed them, it wasn't the U.S.
The Apache, Comanche and other Tribes would have issue if they think it was stolen from Mexico.

You might want to go back to school, and retake American history, it was sold to the U S A. Keep in mind we could have just taken the land from Mexico, in fact at that time we could have had all of whats now Mexico, the fact is they ( Mexico ) were getting their back sides kicked.

I don't believe US owes Mexico that land.....It was over 150 years ago....One point I want to mention, that is NEVER mentioned is that Mexico was doomed from the beginning, they would have NEVER won that war.....Weakened and virtually bankrupt from the Mexican War of Independence, the new Mexican government found it difficult to govern its northern territories, which were up to two thousand miles from the capital of Mexico City. What better time to come in and have land grab? But of course, to say it was stolen is not a gross observation.....How would it be if China came in the US for a land grab when we are in the midst of a war with Iraq? How would we handle it?
Incidently, African Americans have been accused time and again of "entitlements"......I am sure you don't see them as entitlements do you?

Most countries were formed by land won and lost in wars. The Mexicans lost some and the Americans won and bought some land from them. The main issue though is not that Mexicans want the land itself, they have plenty of land in Mexico. What they really want is to justify there entitlement to be in that part of the country and benefit from the infrastructure created from the sweat, labor and creativity of the Americans. They don't have that on their land and no matter how much land you give them their culture will not engender a society that can sustain economically profitable infrastructures to benefit the masses of Mexicans..
