Men who have christian values also value women. They see them as more than sex objects, which is very nice.

When you say "Christian values" do you just mean loving one's neighbour as oneself? I think anyone who practises such a thing is likely to come over as a very nice person, Christian or otherwise. What you're really asking in that case is "Why are men who behave nicely to others so nice?"

If you mean the kind of values espoused by fundamentalist Christians, like being anti-gay, anti-abortion and anti-evolution, then I have to say that my experience has not led me to consider such people to be terribly nice.

But then the Devil tends to be depicted as charming: I don't think the impression of niceness correlates terribly well with the person's values.

Okay...Wow...Judging by the responses, these people have not met any nice Christian men. However, I have. Yes, any man can appear to be nice, but when you get to know them, you see the not so nice side. No man is perfect, but there are men out there that are respectful and have been raised in a good home and taught to treat women right.

My husband is a good Christian, but he has had his moments where he plain ol' blew it. :) But, so have I. So, there are some Christian men that have better attitudes than others. Just don't set your expectations too high because you'll see a Christian do the wrong thing if you watch long enough.

A Christian man who really loves others will be kind but he can also be firm in dealing with issues that require firmness.

The love in that person comes from God - and nothing corrupt
ever came from God.

Christians though, cannot be lumped into a stereotypical group like a herd of cattle or sheep. Every individual Christian will either obey God or disobey Him. The goodness
you see is a reflection of God's love flowing through someone
who is obedient to God. Nothing more and nothing less.

Wait until eventually you have finished college earlier you initiate nerve-racking approximately looking a husband!!for the reason which you're a Christian see in the journey that your church has a young people team which you will connect.Any men you may meet there may be christian.do no longer decrease YOUR standards.you purely provide your self time to get excitement from your young people and freedom because of the fact your an prolonged time married.you're appropriate in what you pronounced,it would make it no longer hassle-free for you in the journey that your hubby would not have faith in God.

in fairness i think its right to say that you cant generalise such a large group, there are literally tens of millions of christian men and men professing Christianity.
it would be unfair to praise or insult/ berate such a large group, every person should be individually assessed.

Because most Christians strive to live a Christ-like Life. When you truely pattern your life after Christ, then it really is hard to be mean and nasty all the time. Christ was a nice loving person. Also I think that Christians tend to have a purpose in their lives so there is a sense of peace with knowing that. At least for me there is. When a person is at peace, they are typically peaceful.

1) How would you define "proper"
2) I've met pleasant and unpleasant people, both christian and non-christian. Being christian doesn't automatically make you nice, nor is the reverse true.

Wow, judging by the answers here, I'll have to start giving an extra special effort to lead by example. I may even start using Ned Flanders-speak.

"Hi-diddley-ho there neighborino!"

Sorry so many of you met douche bags claiming to be Christians BTW.

Where by? I'd like to meet one of those. I had a male friend who was one, he was a control freak and that kept on trying to convert me and who could not accept that he was wrong to do so. I also knew a male nurse who was one and he was a bully and arrogant. I take it your are a male Christian? Like I said, arrogant and up themselves!

Since the age of 15 (I'm now 34 and married) until I married, any man I dated that was a Christian was arrogant, patronising and thought he was better than non believers..and also they used to get upset with me because I wouldn't go to church with them.
