Not sure about his exact recipe, but yes, you can cook it by making a foil envelope. It essentially steams the food, so I would not put bacon, since its won't really crisp. Garlic should be fine, but I think you will need to rub it all over the chicken to impart the flavor. The key is to make sure that the packet is sealed, it if leaks, then it won't steam and therefore won't cook quickly. Try 400 degrees for 30 minutes for chicken.

cooking en papilote is very simple. Using chicken, mushroo and onions, it literally steams in the foil, (always add a splash of white wine to retain moisture.

The best way is to have the oven at about 180 degrees C, and cook the chicken for about 30 mins. It will soak up the misture and remain juicy and plump.

Mmmmmmmmmm!!

i think when i was in girl scouts it was a hobo pouch. I don;t remember how long it takes to cook but you can put almost anything in them.( thinking about 350 for may 30-60 mins) My fav is just potatoes onions some butter and salt and pepper. you place them in the middle of foil then bring the two long sides together and roll till you get near the food then you roll up the sides.

Another good thing to do in them is bananas. bananas, chocolate, and marshmallows. ymmmm. might make those for dinner tomorrow.

just thought of it try looking on the renyolds foil web page

Put a bit of real butter in the envelope too, helps keep the chicken moist and adds to the flavour.

You can put what u wish in the envelope

Enjoy

yes thats right, you can make your own foil pack by taking the foli in 2 pcs. and rolling the edges, and yes you can add anything you'd like in it, even veggies! depending on the amount of chicken, I would say 325 in the oven for about 45 min,

There are loads of things you can cook that way... the method is called "en papillote" from the French, and was traditionally done with parchment paper but foil is good too and cheaper.

Check out some of these recipes for loads of ideas:
