You cannot sell something that does not belong to you.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (New International Version)
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price...

Dear angel_jr83,

Having myself studied and practiced Satanism I feel that a reply may be Illuminating.

"Selling your soul to the devil" is a Christianized metaphor related to directing one's consciousness toward Independence, Selfishness, Creativity and almost every other Characteristic that has come to be symbolized in Satan. In other words becoming "like" the Devil. A pact is simply the individual formally resolving to do this. Historically this ultimately can be traced back to the concept of Daemons in Ancient Greece (a little research will reveal several sources).

The question of what happens to people who immerse themselves in these practices falls into two categories: Failure and Success.

Most belong to the former, they become failures weighed down by a social stigma which they are simply unable to deal with. They in their weakness and unstableness are internally eaten away by what they have called forth from within themselves.

To those who fall into the latter category, what happens to them?...................

Nothing short of absolute Godhood.

Sincerely,
Sepa

They become Rock n Roll stars. It is like a living metaphore. People can actually take on a life style that totally excludes the presence of God ever. Sure there are exceptions. I read that a guitar player of the rock band Korn is now a Christian and is making Christian music. Don't know how true that is. Once you reach a level of fame, prosperity, and wealth there may be no going back. I think this applies for a lot of people even "So-called" christian ministry people. Look at some of these rich and famous TV evangelist. Are they serving God or money? Think about it. Sure we can sell out.

You become his property of course and he runs his own like the mafia does their own. No way out, EXCEPT ..........through the Father in heaven. How do I know. I used to be a satanist long ago. Just because the Lord in heaven "saves" you does not mean the devil GIVES UP. Once his, he fights you tooth and nail. Thinking of doing it? You won't like the RIDE.........., FOR the hard part is not doing the will of Satan, the hard part IS, if you want out GOD requires even more effort of you to win your soul BACK........

Well, let's see. If you "sell your soul to the Devil," you obviously believe in the "Christian" God, because the "Devil" as such only appears in this tradition. You've bought into the premise of Christianity, but have rebelled against it. This seems a rather adolescent kind of rebellion; but it may be a necessary stage for some people on their way to emancipation. "Evil, be thou my good" is simply writing "x" for "y;" the next step is to realize that the distinction itself is false and arbitrary. There is no such thing as "Absolute Good" or "Absolute Evil," of which the Christian "God" and "Devil" are the respective personifications. "As God does not exist, what's the use of blaspheming His name?" (de Sade.)

You belong to God who created you. Accept what Jesus did, reject the devil and follow Jesus. The devil owns nothing. It all belongs to God.
