I have a friend who has 2 young children, she has not been working she borrows money from everyone to party. She ignores her children and lives in a one bedroom apartment with two kids her boyfriend and three dogs. Her home is not safe or sanitary for children. Neither of her children have ever had a birthday party, (one is 10), or had any friends over! I always bring over groceries because she has no food in her home. Its not a good environment for children there is constant drinking and drug use going on at the home. The children are completely neglected. I tried to talk to her about it and now she refuses to talk to me. I feel terrible for her children and know its not a safe environment for them, what can I do?

Why is it when ppl are doing something that they know is wrong and someone tries to help them they get mad and shut them out of there lives?...
anyways... since shes mad at you and since you really care for theese children ... You could call the services and just tell them that her house is unclean and she has no food... they will find out the other stuff once they walk into her home...
Also if you really want theese children to havea good life.. you could concider ... talking with the services and tell them that you would be willing to care for her kids (if u are)... until she straightens out..
But let me tell you... She will not be happy if she finds out you called... someone called the socials on my sister in law saying that she beats her daughter (it was untrue)... but she was furios and started coming up with who called them...
and she accused her current bf's father... (im not sure if he did call).. but anyways.. they soon left her alone cus they found out it was untrue...
so just try and be careful....
good luck

If you've tried talking with her in the past about the issues and she's done nothing to rectify the situation, then it would be in the childrens best interest for you to call CPS (child protective services). I realize that this can be scary, but please keep in mind that the children deserve a loving caring home.

Please call the child services!
I know shes your friend but you have to think of the children. You've tried talking to your friend their is nothing else you can do. If you don't call the services you will feel guilty those poor children are suffering and you have the power to stop that.

911. Call child protective services. Can you take the kids? That would be better then foster care. Or maybe her mom or the childrens fathers mother....

How sad. Dont think about your friend think about those kids and the horrible condition they are in. Those kids are innocent and have no one to protect them. Call CPS right now. Dont hesitate. Make a difference in those poor kids life.

Call child protective services and tell them what you told us.
Maybe a visit from them will straighten this Mom up or at least force her to provide better for her kids.

Im sorry but I feel you would be doing your friend a real injustice if you diddnt turn her in to the child protective services. Someday when shes sober and has her life straightened out, she may understand why you did it and thank you.

You need to get help for the children. If you have already spoken to her and she refuses to change her behavior you have no choice but to call social services.

Since she's already mad at you, tell her how it is.
Tell her if she doesnt listen to you and shape up you will contact the police or social services, I bet she shapes up real quick. otherwise, she's already mad at you, what are you gonna lose. good luck with that, im going through something similar with one of my friends.

Please for the children, get them some help, child protective services is probably your best bet. I don't think you have to tell them who you are even.
