OK, this is WEIRD!
For maybe the last 3 days or so, I've had the most MAJOR pain in both my SHINS! It is so deep, I cannot tell if it's muscle or bone pain! I've had shin-splints before from running, but this is nothing like that. This came on all at once with no apparent cause.
Because of this pain (and because I'm currently unemployed!), I've been very inactive...I've HAD to be! I've been mostly in bed. But when I DO walk around in short intervals, the pain becomes SO SEVERE, it feels like I have BROKEN LEGS. (Just trying to describe the severity of the pain)
Now, I dunno if this is totally coincidental or what - but RIGHT BEFORE this started, I cut my Rt. foot badly. I've been "favoring" that leg since, as it's difficult/painful to walk because of my wound.
The severe muscle/bone pain I describe is definitely worse in my Rt. leg - but is DEFINITELY present in BOTH legs. (???)
I've used heat patches and also an analgesic muscle cream, but they've given NO relief.
Any help? Thx!

Might be an infection relating to the cut. I would definitely get it checked out. If you cannot get into a doctor or urgent clinic, go to the ER. I am not a fan of going to the ER unnecessarily, but I think this should be looked at ASAP. Blood poisioning, cellulities, etc - these are things that come to my mind. Blood clot would be another.

I would definately lean towards infection on R leg, but both legs? Hmmm. Are you drinking enugh water? Leg cramps can be VERY severe if you arent getting enough fluids. Also, if you are sitting a lot you are at risk for blood clots. Hopefully you stil have insurance of some sort, if not find a free clinic you might want to see a Dr.

You really need to read "Stop Shin Splints" by Gary Buchenic (also available in electronic format here: http://www.shinsplintscure.org ). It's about how to permanently cure your shin splints naturally. Worked for me and for thousands of people. Good luck!

I'd suggest seeing a doctor. I doubt it's blood poisoning, given that it's appeared in both legs, but that kind of sudden pain is your body demanding help for SOMETHING. It could be any number of problems. Get it checked out.
