toward african american single mothers. I cant have a scholorship in school because Im white. I had good grades but I cant be offered a fair scholorship because Im white!!!
Dont go off telling me I am racist because you are very wrong. People want everything to be fair If there was a scholorship for just white single mothers which there isnt. Everyone else would think it was racist, but this isnt???

I understand that there seem to be problems with minorities getting scholorships but it seems that white people have to get straight a's and amazing SAT scores to get in but something like being a single mother, well any single mother can get one, but they are only offered to minorites. If you are smart, rich and white you get a deal, but if you are a poor minority you get it pretty easy. Michael Jackson isnt a smart man but he made a mistake by going white thats for sure.

Ummm - you're wrong.

I'm a white single mother, and I've made my way through both an undergraduate - and graduate - level education. There IS money out there for single mothers.

There are reasons minorities get and need scholarships. Some of it is cultural, some economical. In some cultures, it is extremely common that a father is absent and the mother is raising children alone, or with a grandparent.

I can't begin to tell you how my education opened doors for me financially and psychologically. The only way to predict your future is to create it.

I bowed out of college in my second year due to no daycare grants for single parents that are not working. I spent most of my student loans towards day care expenses for two infants. I couldn't afford to continue so I went back to work at my old job making the same wages that don't allow me to be free of assistance. So the cycle continues. I empathize with your frustration. Try being a single father with sole custody of two small. You think your discriminated against. Count your blessings.
