Some people do, some people like me, don't.

Personally, I think you just follow the trail that the evidence takes you. Like you said, how do we know all of this? We have one book on one side that says one thing, we have all the other religious books on the other side saying something else. (And no matter which religious book we take, it ends up in the same position, completely contradicted by every other religion).

To me, this leads me to not trust any of the religions out there, and it doesn't upset me at all. I choose instead to learn about the world we live in, and it's a fascinating place without the need for an omnipotent creator behind everything. Sometimes it is OK to say, "I don't know how I got here. I don't know what this means. But gosh darn it, people like me and I'm going to learn as much as I can before I leave."

Yes, I really believe and know Jesus. I can understand your confusion though as we all at some time, I'm sure, have our doubts.
Historically, we know Jesus existed and the Bible is not the only book around that records the times Jesus lived in.
A certain amount of faith will always be with us, how can we ever understand or explain God's mysteries. Though many try to explain God away, we still hear of miracles happening around us every day. Things Dr. say they cannot explain and in many cases admit...by the grace of God...patients have lived.
Jesus asked us to love our Lord our God first and foremost and then love our brothers (and I believe he meant all human beings) as we would have them love us. If we do those two simple things, I don't think there is much need to worry over heaven or hell.

If you believe that certain things in life are good and certain things are evil, where did that belief come from? Have you ever seen a small child do something wrong and have a guilty appearance on their face or try to hide what they did without ever being told not to do what it was that they just did? It is becasue we were born with a sense of right and wrong. Have you ever been mad at someone that lied to you? If we did not have that sense, then the liar would not have offended us. This inner sense of right and wrong was written on our hearts by the One, True God and taught through the Bible and exampled by Jesus Christ.

Think about it this way - Someone told you there was a really great restaurant where the food was absolutely the best, so you didn't go there and you never found out if they were telling the truth or not. On the other hand, you did go and the food was so good it exceeded your expectations and you went around telling others about it with great zeal.

Now along come these Christians, and they are really excited because they tell you that Jesus Christ forgave them of all their wickednesss and gave them a brand new life that was full of great joy and peace. You decide not to listen because it all seems unreal, and anyway you have seen so many other people deny it that you are confused about what to think, So you never attend a church, prayer meeting, or any other event where Christians go and you decide to never talk to Christian
people anymore. On the other hand you go to church and you
not only find out that these people are much different than the bad things you heard about them, and not only that because they show you the love of Christ through reaching out to you and showing genuine interest in you the stories become less real to you and you ask Christ to take control of your life and it is so wonderful that you go out and tell everyone with great zeal.

The difference is this: Nobody minds being told about a good restaurant. Many resent being told that God has a vested interest in their lives and proved it by sending His Son to die for them.

How will you know the truth. I can tell you that if you begin to read the Bible and pray and ask God to show you what is the truth; He will either reveal it to you when you are by yourself or send someone that will answer your questions in a way that will make sense to you and He will touch and change your life forever. It will be the best change you will ever experience.

Now the choice is up to you. Believe the unbelievers and don't seek out God or seek out God and ignore what other people might think. It's an individual thing between you and God and if you allow someone to dictate to you how you should go when it is your spiritual life that is at stake it would be a big mistake.

God offers you eternal life on the other side of the cross; not because you deserve it, but because He loves you enough to give His very best - His Son to die for you. What will you do with Jesus Christ? Only you can answer that question.

I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. I don't shove anything down anyone's throat. I will give you what information I have and leave the decision up to you.
email me at my regular email jiloth@msn.com if you want to follow up on this.

EDIT: SOULFUL - JESUS' EXISTENCE WAS RECORDED BY THE "JEWISH HISTORIAN" JOSEPHUS AND MANY ROMAN WRITERS. STUDY HISTORY BEFORE YOU MAKE
YOUR STATEMENTS. IN ADDITIION, TIME IS MEASURED BY HIS LIFE -- B. C. = before Christ and A. D. (Anno Domini) means "The Year of Our Lord."

Thank you for asking this question. It is a very important issue to think about, and I know that the world makes it very confusing these days to decide what to believe.

It comes down to your personal decision about what you want to believe. You will never be able to prove or disprove whether the traditions about Jesus are true or not. It happened too long ago--you can't prove the details with objective evidence. It is a matter of faith.

Personally, I really do believe in Jesus. I find no reason to doubt that what I've been taught about him is not true. And what is more important to me is that besides what I have been taught to believe, I have developed a personal relationship with my Savior that is real and that no one can take from me. I have truly felt the power of his atoning sacrifice in my life. When I have had burdens in my life that have seemed unbearable, I have felt him literally lift them so that I could bear it. I have felt his pure love for me in the hardest times of my life. These are feelings that I cannot deny and that witness to me that Jesus is real and that he is my Savior and friend. Some people may say that I am imagining this, that it is all in my head. I disagree because I know that I have felt a power greater than me helping me. I have felt the distinct feeling of the Holy Spirit that cannot be produced by any other source in this world. To me, God is just as real as my own biological parents. Jesus Christ is real--he lives, as does our Father in Heaven.

God will be there for you if you sincerely seek him. Through your own experiences, you will know that Jesus was real and that what we learn about him must be true. Search for him, pray, and really think about it. Wait for feelings of peace, love, and joy--they will confirm that God is there and that He loves you.

Yes , I am. I was a Muslim and consider him as a prophet superior to prophet mohammed. But recently in a very unexpected situation i decided to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior. During my several visits to a Pentecostal church ,( I do’t find any idols or photos there other than bible verses stick on the walls ) am personally experienced the power of holy spirit and talking in tongues.

I did a very comfortable research before my conversion to Christianity , got many questions about Islam, but not much answers. I confirm that Jesus Christ is the only answer and the way to eternal Life. Also I confirmed that Islam is a false religion. I am very much impressed with the LOVE & COMPASSION of Jesus Christ, which is not visible in Mohammed and Qu’ran.

The first step is to just ask, and I think that's great. Yes, I believe in him and all that he did for us. Not just because I read a "story", but because I tried out what he said and it actually worked. You know? Like how people buy Pro-active for their pimples... and it actually works. You never know till you try! Go to a book store or a library, buy an New International Version of the bible so you can understand the words and start with the Book of John in the New Testament. This picks up with Jesus' life and all that he did for us!

Jesus is no mere 'holy man' as the world sees holy men. Jesus is God in the flesh who walked a perfect life and died for the sins of humanity. God became flesh and dwealt among us. This is HUGE.

If you are Seriously wanting to know about Jesus and if He is true, then remember that Jesus is God and read the bible book of John. Also take this test (it is in flash and has audio)

Seek Him and you will find him. If you listen to MP3's, then go to http://www.wayofthemasterradio.com and listen to their daily radio program.

Absolutely, I believe in Him. You need to talk to a christian counselor who can explain all your questions. I'll just say this as my way of explaining: "Some things you have to See to Believe. Some things you have to Believe to See."

In other words, look at your world and see with your human eyes and you will believe whatever you see exists. Then look at things you can't see, such as feelings, thoughts, the wind, etc. do you believe them? If so, you have faith that a God does exist. The bible says there is only one God and His name is Jesus. (The last sentence in the Bible.)

Hope you can find a sense of understanding soon.

Yes I really believe in Jesus
You have to av faith
And Faith is believing when doubting is so much easier
Faith is not an easy thing to hav
today we needd proof of everything
proof you love me
proof the bill is paid and list goes on and on about proof
Jesus is not about proof
he is about blind trustin someone you never meant never seen or no real edivence he exist

Jesus is about faith
and faith in Jesus ...You need no proof
You just know it and this is enough for you
