Should a mother not spend time with you because of who your dating?

I have a boyfriend who my mother just hates, because of his past. He doesn't live like he did 20 years ago, but she doesn't care. As far as she's concerned he's trash.

Depends. In a situation like this it is almost prudent that he be the one to open up communication with her. If he doesn't at least want to try, then he proubly is trash....
