7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

what do you mean "without argument"? This is a very unclear question. Argument about what? Do you mean without Disagreeing with Him? The answer to that is no. We don't fully understand God's ways and plans so there will always be a time in our lives when we don't agree with His plan. But our "agreement" is not necessary.

I don't think you are clear on what you are asking.

Scripture seems to support the notion that faith requires an absence of argument or even question.
~Note the tale of the devil trying to tempt Jesus. Jesus replies that God shall not be put to the test.
~Or the story of Thomas, who, seeing the resurrected Jesus, wanted to examine his wounds to know that this was in fact Jesus. Jesus said, "You have seen, and now you believe. Blessed are those who have not seen, and yet believe."
~Or the story of Lot's wife, who was turned into a pillar of salt for the simple offense of curiosity.

The Biblical God requires blind and unquestioning faith.

I, for one, have not found that to be a path of merit.
To me the path to Truth is all about the seeking, and it is the search itself that is the measure of its merit.

"... For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as waters cover the sea." - Habakkuk 2:14

"The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One IS understanding." -Proverbs 9:10

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because i am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, i know that full well...........All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." - Psalm 145:13-14,16

a personal favourite:
"Your Word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth and it endures. Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you. If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction. I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life. Save me, for i am yours; I have sought out your precepts." -- Psalm 119:89-94

Can you know God without arguing?

Well. You have to stop arguing with God. Accept God as God reveals Himself.

Also arguing is discord. A verse in the bible tells us to be of one accord. To not argue about doctrinal differences. God has not called us to discord.

Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord...(things God hates)...A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:14, 19)

Like Odinmar I've gone down the same path. God is very accommodating.

Unfortunately no. I've argued with Him on many occation. He always wins, but he's nice enough to humor me. God's cool like that.

Best wishes.

People who think they know God have mental problems. I believe in a God, but to say I know God....that's insane.
