I am going through the same things. It is because I am depressed and because I have many other things my mind. I have recently bought a few books on how to Ive memory and all of them said the same thing.... besides the tips on the vitamins that will help (?) ... they all said to "be in the present" pay attention to the person or the tasks you are doing and not about the other areas of your life when you are doing it. . Your thoughts will reflect on what you are doing at the moment. When you are performing a task think only of what you are doing. When you meet a person repeat their name and make it thing of importance to remember their name.

Honey, I disagree that you should attribute it to "age." In today's society, most of us are trying to wear so many different hats and live our lives, to the fullest that sometimes, something gets lots in the hustle. I've seen this happen with young people in their mid-twenties and not with older folks and then visa versa. I know it sounds tired, but get in the habit of lists! My desk has a large blotter on it with the year and a month at a glance. That is my anchor! Even trivial things should go on your list and it will soon become a habit that you won't want to break. Try it for one month and see if you don't see a difference. Plus, hon, don't be so hard on yourself! We all make mistakes.....

you may be getting old. You can keep your brain busy, playing game or cross word puzzle is a good way to keep your brain stimulating.

I would have a full check up with my doctor to start with, to make sure there is not a physiological reason for your increased forgetfulness.
