They shouldn't and shame on them.

That is never what Jesus intended. God have mercy on them, because they are going to need it!

The KKK are all totally whacked, they're not Christians. There have always been wars, they're in the Bible. This war has brought freedom to the Iraqi people that were oppressed by a vicious dictator. 9/11 would have only been the beginning if our country did not defend itself, we have every right. Unfortunately the media only reports the negative aspects of the war. They know how to manipulate the news. What they don't show is Iraqi men, women and children thanking the U.S. Soldiers for what they've done and children running up to our soldiers to meet them, give them presents and thank them. Hussein had his military bury two jets in the sand, that's what was found. How much more was hidden and not found and how much more was shipped across their allies borders?

Because they're not really "Christians"

There are those Muslims who use Islam as a means to further a hateful agenda too ...

True Muslims and true Christians follow the spirit of their beliefs.

Here is a Biblical reference: the way of the law is death, but in the Spirit there is Life.

Reflect on that.

Some people will use ANYTHING to further a hateful agenda. It doesn't matter whether they're religious or not; a socialist, a capitalist, or a communist; white or black; an American, a European, or an Asian; a rich politician or the poorest laborer...the list goes on and on. ANYONE can be hateful, and those kinds of people will use whatever is convenient to justify it.

Well, they do have a lot of material to work with... The bible isn't exactly an inclusive and accepting piece of literature, especially the OT. It does permit slavery and persecution of pretty much everyone.

Most of the people who use it form hate-groups are able to do so only because their followers have little to no understanding of the bible, it's writing and times.

Anything to put Christianity down.

The Old Testament believers fought the "ites."
The New Testament believers are fighting the "isms."

Every religion has it's examples of that kind of person. It's not only within the Christian faith. Lots of people use their religion to further their own personal agendas.

These pseudo-Christians are not true Christ followers. They put on the coat of Christianity to push their own agenda. As the bible says, in the last days:

"For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." 2 Tim 3:2-5 KJV

I try to avoid using cliche's but the following is true: they are wolves in sheep's clothing. God is all love, powerful and pure, without a drop of hate to provoke fear or punishment (1 John 4:18 NIV). The devil likes to infiltrate Christian churches to distort the faith and deeds of weaker Christians not strong in the Holy Spirit, and rouse them to do deeds out of the realm of love. With a perverted sense of justice, these weaker Christians take it upon themselves to spread hate propaganda - almost as if they were possessed (but this is another topic worth answering for another question). I've seen it happen in some good folks, but somehow a pastor or person stronger in the spirit helped them work out the bitterness. As Christians, we're all vulnerable to the lies of the devil. He will plant thoughts in our minds that corrupt the true meaning of fellowship and loving our brothers, as we do ourselves. The only way we can truly safe guard ourselves is to strengthen our spirits within by reading the Word of God. Hateful agendas can successfully be rebuked (not always silenced) with proper scriptural responses. For winning the confrontation is not with our analytical minds, but with our spirits:

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." -- Eph 6:12 NIV

Reciprocating Hate with LOVE is powerful. Your trangressors will not know how to respond back to love, it is so foreign to them. So to shake a Christian out of his hateful agenda, respond in love, with proper scripture, to feed the weaker inner spirit so that they may eventually soften up and hopefully, surrender.

Anything that has a large number of followers unable to question their leaders will appeal to people who need a platform for hate.

Good Question I asked what is the greatest commandment?
if every one new that one and put it into action there would
be no hate or maybe not because some of us can't love our
selves so we spew our self hate on to others

And why is it that some people blame Christianity for everything? There is nothing hateful about Christianity, BUT, there such things as right and wrong. Abortion is murder.
Homosexuality is wrong. Very simple.
