Its OK as long as you don't over do it, alcohol only thins the blood if you are an alcoholic with end stage liver failure or bone marrow surpression, which would be detected in your pre-op bloods anyway. A reasonable amount of alcohol will be out of your system by Monday. What will thin your blood is if you take aspirin to get over a hangover and can increase bleeding in major surgery.

It is not a good idea, but the only real danger is bleeding to death. Twenty four hours before surgery is the absolute minimum, for ceasing alcohol consumption. Seventy two hours (three days) is preferrable. That said, more than sixty percent of surgical patients fail to meet these standards. As the surgery is laproscopic, it is a bit more dangerous to consume blood thinners (alcohol, aspirin etc) as all the bleeding will be internal and therefore less noticeable. As long as you are kept in hospital for a couple of days, you should be okay. I ask, however, why you would want to take this sort of risk? Are the drinks necessary for you? Perhaps you should have a look at that.

the surgeons I worked with always cancelled surgery of any kind if the patient admitted to alcohol consumption within a week of surgery. It most assuredly does thin the blood, and even if it is laparoscopic surgery, the risk of internal bleeding is high. Go out, have fun, but leave the booze alone, if you are smart.

Limit the amount you drink like to 1 or 2 glasses and you should be fine. I DO NOT RECOMMEND drinking the NIGHT BEFORE the surgery.

1 or 2 drinks would be okay. I wouldn't do it if it were me. I wouldn't want to take any chance of it messing up my surgery. If your blood count isn't right...or something happens....then you have to start the whole process of scheduling all over. It wouldn't be worth it to me.
Good luck on your surgery, I hope you heal quickly. :)
