A friend told me about this, had anybody had success with this? I have a tattoo on my hand that I really need to get rid of and I really can't afford laser.

i think if it was that easy then people wouldn't have to get laser treatment...u cany buy make up to cover it ...i used it on my wedding day to hide mine and it was great

when you were little did you ever color white crayon over a darker crayon? it doesn't really do anything but make a muddly looking spot on your picture.
kinda the same thing goes for tattoos, you can't cover up a tattoo with light colored or white ink- it won't go away, it just makes your tattoo look muddy. that's why when artists do cover up pieces, the end product is always darker and larger than the original tattoo.
whoever told you this was misinformed, sorry.
you could always use dermablend or start saving for laser treatments.

I've heard of people having white done over a coloured tattoo when they have needed to lighten an area in preparation for a cover up (they wait for it to heal before tattooing over the area again), but never 'skin coloured' ink.I take a great deal of interest in tattoos as I have a few myself, and I visit lots of tattoo forums.I would have remembered if I'd heard of this.

no, your friend was wrong. you could have the tattoo done and it MAY lighten the tattoo slightly but it will not cover a tattoo just because it is skin colored.

Nope, it doesn't work that way. Darker colours usually cannot be covered up with lighter ones.

i guess it could work, but htink about it... in the summer when you get darker the tattoo will be lighter, and in the winter when u get lighter it will still be darker... that would look really strange and i would not recomend u do that.

there is special make up that you can buy that does the trick.
