Australia!
The origin of the title of the song is more likely from Bon Scott who came from a place in Western Australia where his local pub (The Raffles Hotel) was on Canning Highway, the pub was at the bottom of a very steep section of Canning Hwy and an intersection which saw so many road crashes it became known as the highway to hell. If you listen to the lyrics it becomes very obvious that Bon is going down to his local pub for a drink, and good times with his mates - and to get there he'd travel the Highway To Hell - Canning Hwy.

When 'Highway To Hell' came out, it got my attention and introduced me to AC/DC. When 'YSMANL' came out, it kept my attention and I fell in love with AC/DC. There wasn't much time between the 2 songs in which Bon Scott died and Brian Johnson took over the vocals and co-songwriting. HTH was their biggest hit in America at the time and then suddenly; the singer is dead, replaced and 'Back In Black' is born and released. It all happened so quickly (and without MTV News) that most people didn't even know Bon Scott had died until AFTER the BIB album came out. It was sad but BIB was a great celebration from new to old. So I'm gonna say You Shook Me All Nite Long. :)

Well, if you take a left hand turn right after the bridge over the River Styx you can get on at a ramp about a mile down. Follow the smell of brimstone and the oppressive heat.
