Any good scientific theory can make predictions, either of what we will observe, or what we should find. If it cannot make such predictions, then it has nothing to do with reality. If it fails at its predictions, then it is false or incomplete.

Neo-Darwinism makes predictions, and those predictions are confirmed with every archaeological discovery. All life on Earth is derived from common ancestors, and finding organisms without DNA would disprove that. Yet all lifeforms on Earth have DNA. All life on Earth is hierarchical, and both the morphological and molecular hierarchies converge. Our discovery of transitional forms follow this hierarchy : we have plenty of transitions between reptiles and birds and reptiles and mammals, for example, but none between, say, birds and mammals. If we did find such a form, it would be a problem for Neo-Darwinism !

They make no predictions. They live in the past of their ancient, barbaric text.

Several posters have mentioned predictions that Creationism has made. One prediction that I like involves the fossil record. Evolution also makes a number of predictions. Unfortunately for evolution, none of the predictions it posits have been verified by any of the data we currently have. In your question, you mention transitional forms. Darwin, himself, knew that the fossil record would be a huge problem for his theory if no transitional forms were discovered. However, because paleontology was just beginning, he believed (by faith) that we would discover the multitudes of transitional forms his theory predicted. He also believed (by faith) that as we went further back in time in the fossil record, it would become harder and harder to distinguish between forms as the fossil life drew closer to its common ancestor. These are two fundamental predictions of evolution. Creationists, instead, predicted that the fossil record would show the same sort of variety of life, complete and fully formed and functional that was living and present at the time. Creationists predicted that the farther back in time in the fossil record would not show a "blurring" of forms. Creationists made this prediction based on their belief in God's Word, the Bible.

Of these predictions, what has "proven" to be true? Evolution or Creation? How many transitional forms have been found in the 150 years since Darwin's theory? Zero. What does the fossil record show us? That life existed in greater variety and kind than we have at present and that the all creatures have been wonderfully made, complete and fully capable of reproducing after their own kind.

I don't expect you to discard evolution simply because the fossil record argues against it. Nor do I expect you to embrace Creationism based on one argument. The real reason evolution continues so strongly today is because it is not simply a scientific theory, it is also a belief system that states there is no divine Creator. If you're interested in challenging your belief in evolution, check out the links below. Really, though, no amount of intellectual knowledge will convince anyone to accept God's Truth, but if you seek Him earnestly, He promises that you will find Him. He's made it easy for us to seek Him, as His evidence is everywhere you look.

Creationism states that the universe is approximately 6011 years old give or take a few months. This predicts that all stars further than 6011 light years away do not exist. This is a fact astronomers today are just starting to discover.

To my knowledge, Creationism deals only with the past. It is not possible for Creationism to make a prediction, since by it's very definition it is already done. This is why scientists will not call Creationism "science".

Creationism does not "predict" anything. It states the facts. Science continues to confirm them.

Creationism "predicts" that all life is made by a single Creator. This is proven time and again as it is shown how similar all life is - such as all of it has DNA.

Creationism "predicts" that all human life came from a single human couple. DNA evidence continues to confirm this. The only question now is whether the first woman's name should be listed as "Eve" or "Lucy".

Creationism offers no supported predictions. It relies solely on postdiction.

There are a lot of true predictions in the Bible. Hundreds of years before Christ, David wrote in Psalm 22: "for my clothing they cast lots". Jesus quoted the first verse when he was dying on the cross.

Romans 1:18-25 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen.

Looks to me like this came true.
