Honestly. This is the first thing that broke me of my Christianity.

Reading some of these answers makes me realize how little some christians know about their own faith. It's a bastardization of the old Pagan Goddess who was known as the triple goddess. She had 3 aspects; the maiden, the mother, the crone. The early christians in their attempt to convert the pagans (before they just said, "Aw- the heck with it" and made with the killing) Declared OUR god is a triple god too! But they didnt quite get it well enough to translate it into their religion. It was supposed to be essentially the same thing but better becuase instead of an old woman that represented the end of this incarnation, and transition into death they said "WE have a LIVING spirit!" It's much easier to understand what the trinity is supposed to be when approached from this angle, plus- hey, much funnier too...

It's sad that a pagan doctrine has taken you away from Christianity. I think that once you recognize how ridiculous the concept is and realize that there are many Christians who do not believe in this false teaching, you will be free to know our real God in spirit and in truth. I was raised a Catholic and the Trinity never made sense to me. And to think that some believe that Mary is the mother of God...that's ridiculous! No where in the bible is Jesus called God the Son, always Son of God or Son of Man. And you'll hear preachers refer to Jesus as God the Son in their sermons. There are a lot of false teachings in mainstream Christianity and the Trinity is just one of them. I have seen absolutely no good answers to state that God is three persons in one with the answers posted here. However, there are some good postings to state otherwise. I encourage you to look more into it because once you understand that God is not a Trinity and that Jesus is His son and that the Holy Spirit is the power and essense of God, it will all make so much more sense. God bless you in your search for truth!

Egyptian pagan doctrine they was brought into the church at the nicean creed.

Jesus was made less then Angels who are called only God-like yet he is God??? - Hbr 2:9

Jesus was sent to earth as a perfect human (made flesh) to atone from Adam's mistake. (also a perfect human but not a God)

Jhn 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us

Upon Jesus death Peter and those with him told the Jewish Sanhedrin: "God exalted this one [Jesus] . . . to his right hand." (Acts 5:31) Paul said: "God exalted him to a superior position." (Philippians 2:9)

If Jesus had been God, how could Jesus have been exalted, that is, raised to a higher position than he had previously enjoyed? He would already have been an exalted part of the Trinity. If, before his exaltation, Jesus had been equal to God, exalting him any further would have made him superior to God.

Therefore, there is no Trinty.

a million. With a Logical Disjunction that's available for one or the two operands to be actual. 2. The Holy Spirit is God's Spirit. learn Joel 2:28. Acts 2:4, 17. 3. God is Spirit. Joh 4:24. That that's generated via Spirit is spirit. Joh 3:6, 8. Ecc 11:5. That that's generated via flesh is flesh. Joh 3:6, 8. Ecc 11:5. 1Co 15:40 4 "that's sown a organic physique; that's raised a non secular physique. there's a organic physique, and there's a non secular physique." basically the Lord's flesh physique died. 4. Deu 6:4 hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD. ONE = 259 'echad ekh-awd' a numeral from 258; correct, UNITED, i.e. one; or (as an ORDINAL) first 5. Hebrews a million:5-6. "And enable all the angels of God worship him." and Deuteronomy 32:40 3 (Septuagint) 6. He did no longer say, "do no longer call me sturdy". He asked, "Why callest...?" a query isn't a assertion. 7. "See"? it fairly is imprecise. Please articulate. 8. I pray to God. 9. No, yet "the appropriate hand of the Majesty on severe". Hebrews a million:3. 10. the appropriate hand is positioned for ability. Hebrews a million:3. 11. How I "experience" is unimportant. 12. specific, yet i do no longer pay interest to them. 13. Deu 6:4 hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD. ONE = 259 'echad ekh-awd' a numeral from 258; correct, UNITED, i.e. one; or (as an ORDINAL) first 14. speaking of "will", no longer "ability". John 5:30. 15. Hebrews a million:5-6.

Well, in the Bible we have such statements as:
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

and :
John 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

and:
Hebrews 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

So is that the trinity? Maybe. But I have learned that the trinity is an attempt to explain the nature of God, not that I focus on the trinity in order to retain saving faith, but I know that the three are one God. Soemhow that works, I can only provide you with the scripture, and perhaps some analogies that fall short in one capacity or another. But the Bible is clear as to that proof that God is more complex than we know. Saying He is one is true, but the complexity of there being an ability for God to be in agreement, yet acting apart is also apparent.

I'm sorry that you lost your trust of God over this, perhaps you can reconsider?

First think about your father. He has one name but he has several titles. Example: You fathers name is John

John is a father
John is a son
Jon is a brother
but his is still John

Another example. You are also John (by blood) without John you would not be here.

You have John the father
You have John in his son = You
You have John in his grand child as well as you
Each of you all have a title of your own but you are all part of John.
You will be part of you child just like you are part of you father and his father before him.
One blood but 3 seperate titles

Now God (Yahweh) his real name.
and Jesus (Yeshua) his real name

Yehweh the Father
Yahweh in his son Yeshua
Only one Spirit but seperate titles

Let me know if this helps you understand better. I would like to be able to help you get back on track.

The concept of the "Trinity" is that there are three facets of the same being. I do not believe in the "Trinity" in so much as I believe there is God, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. Truly a committee!

No it was one of the first things I started to question as well. It always seemed to not make any sense. They preach about there being only one God, yet its three gods that are all one god. I know to some it makes perfect sense, but it never did to me. I mean come on! Its God! If there is only supposed to be one God then there should only be ONE God.

No because it equates jesus and god as the same. This is against christianity, who were the first to worship jesus. And what the hell is a holy ghost anyway.
