How many have the call to be missionaries who are on this website? I had thought of becoming a missionary (I am Pentecostal and my church has a strong missionary program), and have had some dealings with the VOM. However I feel God has called me to the military (and eventually) to become a Pastor.

Thanks Lakin! I think tjhat is one of the reasons God is calling me to the military. With the past I have I can really empathize with a lot of our "lost" soldiers and be an example of over coming the flesh.
God bless you sister Lakin.

Me....God called me to Africa when I was in 11th grade.

I spent 81/2 years with a Christian Drama Company...(Covenant Players) and have been in...in this order....Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, North Carolina, Alaska & the Yukon, Southern Ontario, Scotland, England, Wales, Norway, Germany, NIgeria (west africa), Southern Texas, Kansas and Nebraska.

I've also been on 3 short term missions trips....2 to Guatemala and 1 to Ireland.

Towards being a missionary I'm currently studying to become a licensed minister and from a Pastor and then go as a Missionary to Africa....at this time this is througth the Assemblies of God.

Blessings,
Jan

My nephew has been called to minister. He's been going to Hungary for the past 3 summers. His grandad was a Marine Sargent and he wants to do that too! What a coincidence! He is trying to incorporate the two if he can. He's 17 and a great kid. What a great example you could be for so many guys who are going through so much right now. I would be very proud to have a son like you! You may not make loads of money but you'd be rich in many other ways!

Good luck and God bless!

I'm a minister (I have worked mainly on the street).
If you feel the Holy Spirit calling you then you need to go.I pray you will be bold for Jesus.
