I get a lot of answers that end with "May God have mercy on your soul".

I'd prefer that he not; I'd rather be partying in hell than knitting in heaven.

Thanks in advance.

Zebra, your questions are steeped in too much fact to get them angry enough.

See you in hell, buddy!

From all that I have learned, Hell will be a lonely, dark, nasty, terrifying place. You won't be able to talk to anyone, you will only hear screams, including your own. You will be burning, you will be ripped apart by monsters, you will have no hope of ever returning to your life on earth, you will never be able to take for granted the things you once did.
Heaven isn't a scrap booking party, God will give us a life of peace and exciting worship. We will learn and live and enjoy life, without having to get drunk to do it. If you realized what you were saying, you would want mercy on your soul.
I don't mean to scare anyone into having a relationship in Christ, but you are making Hell sound like Earth and Heaven sound like Grandma's house. I hope that helps, God bless.

The cool thing is you get to choose.

But - you should just be pretty sure of what heaven and hell are actually going to be like before you decide one way or the other - becuase I'm pretty sure hell's not going to be a party and eternity is a long time man!

Umm if you don't mind me asking why don't you wan tGod to have mercy on your soul? Did something bad hapen and you think that it was God's fault? Or what? I don't mean to sound bossy but if you don't want God to be nice to you then something is seriously wrong with your salvation...(if your a christian). If not then I will be praying for you to understand why people say " May God have mercy on your soul ".

God Bless You,

The truth of it is, if there is a hell it will only be the worst thing to each individual. So if you like parties then hell might be nothing but work and no play. But the fact is they do it as a courtesy.

If Hell were going to be a party it would not be such a big deal. Unfortunately it won't be. That is why it is so important to get things right while you still can.

I know, I've always told them when they do their sales pitch "Don't you want eternal life? Don't you want to see your loved ones in Heaven"?

I answer: "No, I have no desire to live forever and in fact I think only a coward would say that. And why would I want to spend an eternity without my loved ones? You see, the people I loved who have died weren't Christian, so according to your beliefs they'd be in Hell. So I want my one way ticket to Hell then."

May Satan have Mercy on your soul

God doesn't force anyone into His presence, or into accepting His mercy.

That is a CHOICE made by the individual.

Many people use that particular statement when they feel someone is in need of God's blessing and mercy in their life.

It isn't intended as a rebuke, but is a reflection of what they feel God has brought into their own life.

Hm. I sugest you clench your fists, put them up and the air and shake them mighty hard to show 'God' your not joking.

Then perhaps get a pointy stick, name it the stick of fury and poke the heck outta the person who said it to you.

-cough- 'May Gawwwd haaave Meeeerrraaayy on Yeeerr Soooouuull'

Prepare the beating stick!

Well thats your decision to make. God offers mercy and forgiveness but we must ask for and receive it from him. He has given us free will so that we can choose whether or not to follow him. Heaven or Hell its for you to decide.
God bless.
