Are we just more developed / intelligent, or is there something more to a person than to any other living creature?

Yes, we have cognition, abstract communication, and alone among the animals we know we will die. It should sharpen up our act but it doesn't seem to do so!

We are more developed mentally. For some its the belief in the soul. But yes we are a creation just like everything else on the planet. We are also one of the cruelest species on the face of the earth, killing for sheer pleasure.

He has a gene called ASPM which gives him a larger brain, but other than that he is just an animal species like the rest.
