What do you think about this:
"Let all of us become genuinely sincere, grateful and respectful of the One Who Gave us Life, to Mother Nature and to ourselves"

I'm not sure WHY this question -and it is a good one- is here in global warming -maybe the heat of conflict has something to do with it. On the other hand, IF the J's, C's and M's could get along with each other and everyone else, THEN it would probably mean we would pay more attention to Mother Earth, who ultimately pays the price fopr our nonsense.

And I say that those three religions -as well as the all the other organized faiths, already HAVE the motto and not only that, it is the SAME "motto" in every faith -EVERY one of them. It is the golden rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." The words vary from one to the other, but the concept is stunningly the SAME in all. And guess what else? This motto was developed INDEPENDENTLY in every faith, meaning that, although separated by geography and culture and history -everyone thought up the same thing. And THAT should tell you something; specifically, that this rule is written in the hearts of people.

If we all followed it, we would use a bit less so our neighbor has a bit more, and we would be exercise greater care over the environment we all share, for the simple reason that it IS shared.

And your suggestion echoes the golden rule because it reiterates, in keen modern words, what Jesus answered when asked by the big shots at the temple what the two great commandments were: And he responded with the wisom written in their own texts (Deut and Lev.) "Love God ... and love your neighbor as yourself." See? Even your motto is a version of what was already in your soul all along -same idea, said YOUR way. That's a "bingo" for you, my friend.

So now that everyone's on the SAME page -we need to figure out HOW to actually do it. Your question, no doubt, will help lead in that direction. Thanks for asking it.

I do not think "Mother Nature" will be accepted at all, especially by Muslims. I recall a story about an American teaching a science class in a middle eastern country and he answered a question about why something was the way it is with a statement something like, "that is just the way mother nature made it", to which the response was, "NO!, that is the way GOD made it!"

But since Jews, Christians & Muslims all read the Bible (yes, Muslims read the Bible in addition to the Koran) and worship the same God, you would think they would get along better than they do, wouldn't you? However, as a comparitive religion professor once told me, these 3 religions are closely related and sometimes family arguments are the most bitter kind.

I do not think there is one thing that can unite Jews, Christians & Muslims. For Jews and Christians, it will work but not with the Muslims. The teachings of Islam are that the problems that Muslims face are caused by both Jews and Christians. They are not taught to love fellow human beings regardless of their faith, unlike the Jews and Christians. Islam is not a religion that tries to win the other person over into Islam but to hate if you are the other person. Take time and research the Quran and you will understand where I am coming from. I suggest you google Ex-Muslim converts also. How I wish we could all unite.

Somehow, I don't think a "motto" is going to be much help, especially one that essentially says that the God they believe in does not exist.

I think what they should do is form a football team based in Jerusalem comprised of the best players from all three religions. Get them all cheering for God's team.

I think each religion can come up with their own motto - one that they can accept. As long as it works for the cause.

There is nothing in any of the three religions you refer to that acknowledges anything resembling "Mother Nature." That comes from the Wiccans and Druids and New Agers and others of that ilk.

I really like your motto...Jews, Christians and Muslims agree on GOD

Mother Nature? Please. There is no mother nature. There is no living earth. That is a throwback to Paganism. How about: we do not accept subjugation of women and minorities, we will not accept mutilation of female sexual organs, we will not accept forcing religion on others, we will not accept suicide bombers or societies that praise them, we will not accept societies that try to make the legal age of girls at 12, we will not accept slavery in any form, we will not accept unfair treatment of anyone regardless of sexual preference, we will not accept those societies that harbor\foment terrorists, and those that engage in these behaviors will be punished appropriately.

I like mine better. "Jews, Muslims & Christians; We may never agree on anything else, but at least we all have faith in common. Now lets go kick the ^$%& out of some retarded Athiests!"
