Diet and exercise is essential to loose weight. Being fit is a important health factor, being slim but yet unfit does not make you healthy.
I would suggest looking at your diet and try to cut back on high in fat foods.
You can always exercise at home, try skipping if you can' do it at first don't give up, its a fun and effective way to burn calories, another aerobic exercise is star jumps, you may feel silly but try it and see how quickly you feel tired. As well as aerobic exercises try toning at the same time (e.g sit ups) to firm up the body when loosing weight.
If your someone that likes intruction you could always try exercise videos.
Hope this helps.

-Drink green tea
-Eliminate sugar completely
-Control your intake in carbs
-Drink at least 8 cups of water
-Incorportate fruits and vegetables in your diet
-Eat 3 meals and 3 snacks to speed up your metabolism
( as far as the 3 meal have small portions)
If you don't want to go to the gym thats fine. But, try to do some type of cardio at home to be able to burn some fat. Remember doing the above will help you loose weight but it won't get rid of the fat. The only and best way to loose fat is doing cardio. So, if you don't want to go to the gym then do cardio at home. Ride a bike, dance for an hour without stopping, or walk/run around the block for 30 minutes. That will also help you get rid of some fat. You can also buy the step machine and use it to do cardio. Good luck...hope this helps!

1. See your family doctor for a complete checkup.
2. Have him/her determine how many calories you should eat per day. Last I heard, you should not go below 1500 without a doctor's supervision.
3. Obtain guidelines for a healthy diet and eat accordingly.
If you do not follow these guidelines, you could run into trouble down the line.
You don't have to go to the gym. There are so many ways you can exercise around the home - without expensive equipment. Don't drive - walk where possible. (Wear good walking shoes or you will run into foot problems in the future.)
You can use a couple containers of laundry detergent for weights. Your doctor should be able to give you or direct you to an exercise regimen.
Good luck. When you pass 30, you begin to gain weight on fumes!

Lower your caloric intake. This means eat less, close mouth before full, no junk food, smaller portions etc. Dieting has been proven to NOT work. Intelligent eating usually does the trick. Going down to fifteen hundred calories a day will usually have an effect.

the way you look depends on your fat percentage... let's say you are 200 lbs at 8% bodyfat... which means your lean mass is 184 lbs, right? ... ok, let's say you lose 15 lbs of muscle... meaning your lean mass will go down to 169 lbs, and your weight will go dow to 185 lbs... so your fat percentage will be 9.2% ... which means, you will look smaller and fatter at a lower bodyweight if you lose muscle. but it's up to you, if your agency tells you to lose muscle, and you need to, then the best way to do it is eat 1 or 2 meals a day, and workout every day for 2 hours with weights and cardio... you will burn more than 15 lbs of muscle doing this.
