There is one catch-22 that I see here; most women are repulsed by a guy with low self-esteem. They are attracted to a guy with self-confidence. Tell yourself that you are sexy, and you will be. Appearing desperate and needy are a turn-off. Being content with who you are and what you have is attractive.

And try to develop a sensor of humor. Believe it or not, but they did a scientific study that showed that women are more attracted to funny men (but your humor should be natural -- try too hard to be funny and you come across as immature & goofy). Everyone loves to be around someone who is fun, upbeat, and positive. No one wants to hang out with someone who is unhappy, bitter, or depressed.

If one person doesn't like you, tell yourself that it is no big deal; she is the one who passed up on the chance to get to meet a great friend such as you. Act as if it didn't matter (it doesn't -- the opinion of just one person means nothing) and talk to the next person. Don't give up just because one person that you met just happened to be in a bad mood that day (it probably had nothing to do with you). There are nice people out there, and as long as you are social and friendly, you will eventually meet them.

And don't be a kiss-up. Women hate a guy who can never stand up for himself -- even to her. Women think that you are weak if you never have an opinion that is different than hers, you never voice your preferences, and you never tell her (calmly) when she is acting badly, or just plain wrong. Don't overdo it, but many women think that if you cannot stand up TO her, then you cannot stand up FOR her, either. No one want a coward for a boyfriend. Being nice is good, but don't kiss her feet like you have no self-respect.

And try to maintain good eye contact. Most guys get shy and look away if they accidentally make eye contact with a pretty girl. This makes you look sleazy and suspicious. If she catches you looking at her, maintain eye contact until she looks away first (then ignore her until you are ready to talk to her). When you are talking to her, keep looking in her eyes (or at the bridge of her nose if that makes you feel better). Resist the urge to look down at the floor like you are shy (women think that you are trying to look at her boobs if you are constantly looking down at the floor). If you must break eye contact, look away horizontally, as if you are looking for someone else -- do not look down! Learning to maintain good eye contact makes you look confident, and is a good skill to learn that should help you out in life in general (job interviews, etc.).

And don't make it too obvious that you are attracted to her at first, either. Women think that you are sleazy if you oogle her, or you are just too excited to meet her. Just act mildly interested, as if you had other options (you DO have other options besides her, believe me), and that you are trying to figure out if SHE is good enough for YOU. Women seem to like a challenge.
