i have been dating this guy for about a month now and the other day i said those three words start with I love you! and didnt mean it..and he he said that he has never told a girl that he loves her and dosent think he is capable of love. I really like this guy and want it to work,but i dont know how to react to someone saying that...what should i do? i know that he likes me and we have a lot in common. I just dont know what to do...

it means, your not doing it for him and he's waiting around for something better to come along. he can feel love, he just doesn't have that chemistry with you. You best be packing because if he says it now, he wont mean it, he'll just say that so you wont leave. You're just in the friend zone with him and for him to get out of that zone with you is gonna be a lot of work, and by the time that your half-way there, there will be someone else who does take his heart and love. sorry i know its hard, but he just likes you and that's it. If you want love, it will come from some one else.

it means that he has some serious issues going on! did you ask if he meant for everyone or just the females that he is involved with? If it is for everyone he may be a sociopath and they can't feel love, nor do they have a concious. If it is just for females he is with that may mean he has been burned in the past and is not going to open himself up to getting hurt again. My advice to you is letting him know that you want to be able to be in a relationship with someone who will be able to return your feelings. And if he can't do that or is not willing to open up then i'd seriously get out of that relationship and save your self from a huge heart break down the road.

Why would you say the big three if you don't mean it? Does he know that you did not mean it? He probably feels confused and a bit scared. It sounds like he hasn't even thought of viewing the relationship in terms of "love". He is letting you know that he doesn't "love" you in the same way/amount that you "love" him. Good luck.

I heard about a study that said 1 in every 52 people is a sociopath. Sociopaths are incapable of loving anyone.

If you can afford to be with someone who told you are not capable of loving anyone, go for it. if you wanted to be loved, find another,..unless you're desperate for him,,,or take it as,, he is capable of loving bt it just not you,,..it could be like that,..guy's cannot talk direct,..

be glad that he was honest with you and did not just say i love you back just to make you happy everyone is capable of love i think maybe he just hasn't experience it yet with anyone i think you need to find someone that will return your feelings.

It means he's been hurt in the past by somethng, not necessarily a gf, and he doesn't trust his feelings.
He needs counseling, but being a guy, probably won't go.

It means just that. He doesn't love you. He does like you - and doesn't want to seem like a jerk - but he doesn't love you.
Date other people.
Be glad he was honest enough to tell you as nicely as he can that he doesn't love you.

maybe hes just afraid for a commitment... take it slow... dont rush him.. just show him that you care, that you like him.. and i guess, i hope that he will feel the same way afterwards...
maybe his also reason is that he had never been loved by a person yet.. so dont be discouraged, be the first person to show him love...
