Currently Estelle Getty is doing rather poorly and has, I believe, Alzheimer's.

The other 3 are alive and kicking. Recently, with in the past decade, Betty White and Bea Arthur were on Malcolm in the Middle in guest roles, though not together. Rue McClanahan was on the show Hope and Faith. I recently was sent a promo tape for a survey. On the tape was a pilot that ended up not going on air, it was called something like Dads, it starred Rue as a Principle.

THey all are alive. Rue McClanahan was recently on the View and she looks great. A little heavier than her Blanche days, but still attractive. And then theres Bea Arthur who looks very old. She was on the View too on another day. Betty White is in some commercials on tv for Frontline dog stuff I think. And Estelle Getty, who is the youngest, is alive too but suffering from severe alzheimers.
I loved the Golden Girl days and still watch the reruns.

They're all still alive. Bea Arthur (Dorothy) is years old 85, Betty White (Rose) is also 85, Rue McClanahan (Blanche) is 73, and Estelle Getty (Sophia) is 84. However, as of 2003 she was very sick, and they were planning a "Golden Girls" reunion, but she was too ill to take part in it at the time.

All are still alive. Betty White's probably the most active actress out of the four of them since she still does guest spots every now and then. Estelle Getty has Parkinson's. Rue McCalahaughn (sp?) was sick, but I think she may be in remission now. I'm not sure where the other lady is, but I know she's still alive.

I think they are all alive but i read that Estelle Getty has severe Alzheimer's. I just looked it up. She is still alive but is suffering from a disease that looks like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. It is called Lewy Body Dementia.

I got to meet Rue McClanahan last Saturday. She is a wonderful lady and she also talked about Estelle Getty who is very sick.

All of them are still alive, but Estelle Getty, who played Sophia, is very sick.

I think only Blanche, Dorothy and Betty White, Im pretty sure Estelle Getty, who played Dorothy's mom, has died. Not positive, you'd have to check.
