Long distance relationships are rought. But if both people are willing to make it work then I believe it can. My last relationship was long distance he only lived about 3 hrs away but it was hard seeing each other he worked all the time and i was going to school full time and working. But here are some ways that we kept the relationship going for three years:

- web cams (so even though your not in the same state you can see each other)
- set a time to call each other (just before bed is best - and just tell each other about your day)
- Meet halfway (if possible get a hotel in another state in between each other... you get alone time and nice little vaction)
- TRUST each other (w/out trust you'll both worry the other one is cheating)
We'd also send letters or cards or little gifts once a month to show much we cared about each other and how much we missed one another.

A long distance relationship can make and already strong relationship stronger. If there is trust and love your relationship will grow and evolve into something beautiful. I believe this because I have been in a long distance relationship for 3 years and we love each other deeply. The key thing is we trust each other, and we make ways to talk to each other everyday. Good Luck. I am sure it will work out.

Well my ex is in a long distance relationship. He in US and she in Australia and they call me constantly complaining about breaking up etc. to the point of harrassment. I told them that every time they bother me, they are letting me know how poorly they are doing. Besides, he has been kicked out of Australia all together and she had him arrested when he was there legally. So either she leaves and comes to the US or they will never be married. He also cannot go the NZ to visit as he has lost his use of his passport until he pays 17000.00 in arrears of child support. That will take a LONG time.
I dont think long distance relationships are healthy or possible long term.

depends on the people in the long distance relationship... some work, some don't. I wouldn't seek them out, personally. But I wouldn't necessarily turn one down either. If I feel I can trust the other person, I would.

I did! The man I have been married to for 11 years is the result of a REALLY long distance relationship. I am American and he is Australian. It CAN work if both people are committed to it.

No cause I went through it myself when my ex went into the army and for two years we didn't see much of each other. Our realtionship was really strong but it started breaking apart even though we talked to each every weekend. He says he still loves me to this day but he ended up cheating on me in the worse way.

I do, i think being separated then reunited makes the relationship stronger and the bond and it's kinda cute and very exciting to finally see the person again

i tried it once but it didn't work out. when you live far apart and can't spend quality time together it puts a void in your relationship and after a while it won't be enough and one or both of you will need more. even if it's with another person.
