Symptoms of exhaustion include:
being tired for no reason
too tired to have fun
when sick, can't seem to get better
depression
can't get up in the morning
decreased or absent sex drive
needs caffeine beverages to get moving
no energy
irritable

In short, everything from trying to get out of bed to working to having fun is an overwhelming challenge and it takes extreme effort to follow through. Also, there is no joy in doing any of it.
