I guess what I am saying is Jesus went everywhere preaching even into the temples, where religious services were held, why????? If going into the church is where you will find him, why did he go there to preach? Weren't the preacher's there preaching the right word? The people in the temples were there because they believed, so why preach to them?

Babtist (you should have spelled Catholic catholik) well anyway organized religion is the key to keeping Christ's teachings alive, otherwise (as noticeable by the fact that many Protestant denominations are getting increasingly cult-like), the word becomes everyone's interpretation and some people having very strange interpretations of the Christ's teachings (Mormons, Kaiserists, etc). There are references to the importance of the Church in the Bible, and even though some things about organized religion may not be biblical it was a necessary step to create religion. The Catholic Church is by far the most organized Church, and reaps the benefits by being the Church with the greatest unity in its belief system.

Those are denominations. When Jesus was around, there were no denominations. He kind of WAS the denomination. The Bible doesn't mention Catholic or Lutheran because they didn't exist. Baptist came about in the 1800's I believe and many of those other denominations are from the Puritan movement. Open a history book. You won't find these answers in the bible.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 says, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”

In a nutshell, that is the belief of Christianity. Christianity is unique among all other faiths, because Christianity is more about a relationship, rather than religious practice. Instead of adhering to a list of “dos and don’ts,” the goal of a Christian is to cultivate a close walk with God the Father. That relationship is made possible because of the work of Jesus Christ, and the ministry in the life of the Christian by the Holy Spirit.
So, while many religious systems require that a person do certain things or not do certain things, Christianity is about having a relationship with God. Christianity is about believing that Christ died on the cross as payment for your own sin, and rose again. Your sin debt is paid and you can have fellowship with God. You can have victory over your sin nature and walk in fellowship and obedience with God. That is true biblical Christianity.

You have a point.
1.
However, have you meditated on Jesus' words about the signs of the end?
Matt 24: 4,11,14 See that no one mislead you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, *I* am the Christ, and they shall mislead many. . . 11and many false prophets shall arise and shall mislead many; 14And these glad tidings of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole habitable earth, for a witness to all the nations, and then shall come the end. (Darby)
--------
From this it is fairly obvious that the preponderance of groups / religions / sects claiming to teach and so-to-say claiming to be Christ or at least his representative would exist.

It is also clear that despite all that, the preaching of the Good News would be done by some on a GLOBAL scale.
----------
2.
When you then read this,
Hebrews 10:24-25 and let us consider one another for provoking to love and good works; 25not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the custom is with some; but encouraging one another , and by so much the more as ye see the day drawing near. (Darby)

Then it would seem obvious that we need to find the group that is doing the lord's will, God's will in preaching the gospel and associate with these.

Do you remember these words:
Matthew 7:21 Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but he that does the will of my Father who is in the heavens.

Christianity is merely the belief that the way to salvation is through Christ. So, no it is not a religion. Your sentiment is exactly right, God doesn't pick and choose which religions are the best, He allows that not all Christians will believe the same things, the only thing that should unify is the belief in Christ, there is no gray area there.

That's true, so to clarify this point, religion, as you call it catholic, lutheran, babtist, ect, are just plain stupid. Christianity, however, it just plain complex in nature, which causes the tension and trouble. Strive to make God simple and you will understand it.

Basically your correct in that each belief started on a foundation from God.
Jesus is King in our belief he has no successor as do the other religions including the Catholics.
God/ Jehovah set down laws to live by. He even divided the tribes and made provisions for taking care of the people.
Those who obey him are well taken care of, those who do not serve him:::::::::: suffer.

Jesus was born a Jew. He would of been consider jewish by those not understanding who He is. And the whole old testament tells about the Jewish faith and even some of the religious cermonies, so I wonder where you got your info from. Take time to really read a Bible from cover to cover, you might learn more then just about faith.

Yes, those are all different denominations of Christianity. Christians are anyone who follows the teaching of Christ, hence the name.
And, your Bible doesn't mention anything about religion? Are you sure you have the right book?
