Celibacy is basically never having sex or marrying due to a religious belief (like Catholic clergy) chastity is the practice of not being sexually active, until marriage.

Chastity means behaving in a sexually responsible way. For the married person, this means being sexually faithful to your spouse. For the unmarried, this means celibacy, which is not having sex.

Celibacy is a vow of chastity.

However in its usage, it is a vow to remain single as well.

Chastity is being modest and not being unfaithful to your husband. If you are chaste, you do not engage in sexual activity before marriage. If you are celibate, you do not engage in it at all.
