I recieved a speeding ticket in maryland yesterday and i am from NJ. there was one police officer and he was hidden and there was no apparent radar. he jumped out in front of the car and flagged me down (on a highway no less) and already had someone else pulled over. he let the other person go and wrote me a ticket for 74 in a 55, but the address is written wrong on my ticket and there is nothing siad about how he clocked my speed. should i fight the ticket? or is it void?

If i recieve any kind of moving violation i am going to have my license suspended for 3 months. with this speeding ticket i recieved yesterday in MD (i am from NJ) im trying to find any way i can get out of it. or at least find out how long it will take to reach NJ driving record.

You can try, but my understanding of the MV code is that the ticket is not automatically invalid due to a mistake in the address. Most states don't require the ticket (which is just a summary) to list how you were clocked.

Well, first of all he probably got you with a laser speed detection device. In Maryland police park somewhere in the median and aim the laser at cars. The laser is very precise. The police officer can see your car in the viewfinder(even a mile away). The laser only picks up your speed, no other cars. It is hard to fight in court because it is so accurate, and all of the equipment (radar or laser) is calibrated and tested regularly. They can amend your address in court, it won't get thrown out b/c of this. In fact you may want to call the court so you can get it corrected. Otherwise, they will send the court notice to the wrong address and if you don't show up or pay, you'll go under suspension. So unless you want your license suspended for failure to pay a traffic violation, (it will be reported to NJ and suspended in NJ, and anytime you get stopped it will show up to the police officer whether your in NJ, Maryland or anywhere else) You will have to go to Maryland pay the fines and suspension fees, then go back to NJ and pay there fines and fees for suspension there at the DMV. I suggest paying the ticket. You could come back to court and try to fight. If the officer doesn't come to court you can plead not guilty. If he is there most likely will be) I would suggest pleading guilty and asking the judge for help with the points or the fine. It will be too costly any other way!

Itis never void, it will be accepted by the courts if you do not protest or challenge the ticket.
It is possible that another location had the radar equipment ( plus most are merley mounted on the car, not hand held)
But most courts view that some incorrect material on a ticket does not void them or even make them liable to be contested. So it will be up to the judge to decide.
The wrong address most likely can get exuses by the judge, the marking of how they did the radar can be a legal issue.

Clerical error does not nullify a ticket. Do not ignore it. If there is a phone # on the ticket, I suggest you call it. .

It's not void until the judge says it is. Go to court and get it dismissed.

Who cares just dont pay it and go back to NJ, they're not going to come looking for you for a speeding tickett
