Yes, they can. I was 19 and living at home and came in late and my step mom told me....you are grounded or get out.....I moved in with my boyfriend the next day, but it was very very tough out there by ourselves. I probably would have gone on to college...instead I got a full time job and never did. Enjoy the free ride while you have it! Also, did it ever occur to you that they like to see your face around? They know they only have your for a little while longer.

Yes, they can. They have a right to look out for you. And I know you don't want to hear this, but even at 16, you're not always going to make the right decisions. Sometimes you need parents to guide you on the right path.

Until you turn 18 you're considered a minor and as such you're under your parents jurisdiction. If they want you to stay home they want it for a reason. Talk to them and listen to their concerns. Have a real converation with them instead of a shouting or a grudge match. You may find the have your best interests at heart.

Yes they can. I am 26 so I am not that much older than you. I remember how it was. It seems like your parents are against you and life isn't fair, but truth be told they know what they are doing. It will not be too long until you know that yourself. You will definitely realize how much they love you when you have a child of your own. I know I did. So don't be so hard on them. They are doing the best they can. Try to honestly picture yourself in their shoes.

YES!!!! Your parents are legally responsible for you until the age of 18. If you are 18 and living at home, you still following the rules. I tell my children my roof my rules, I have a 19 year old son who moved out because he did not like the rules, one month into it he regrets his decsion.

Yes they can legally make you stay home. Why are you wanting to leave? How could you support yourself at that age? Where would you live? Thing about those things.

Yes. You are still under age, and therefore your parents responsibility. Remember "it's their house, their rules." This may seem unfair, but until and unless you are able to support yourself, and have your own home, you have to do what they want.
