Believe in Lord Jesus.
I did it. I feel so contented and at peace.
I went to the church for 3 days and I feel like as if I have known Jesus since I was born.
Nobody can ever describe the peace I felt when I kneeled and prayed to Him.
Love Jesus. He is always there for you.

Inner peace? To find something within, you must look within. You cannot change the world, except by changing yourself. I have found inner peace and contentment through buddhist practice, but that doesn't mean it will work for you.
What are the things that cause you suffering? And is it the thing that causes the suffering, or is it the way you respond to the thing?
Wisdom and compassion are fundamental, directed first at yourself and then at others. How you are comfortable obtaining wisdom and compassion is up to you.

There are several ways. If you are not a believer, this Buddhist principle might help you.
1. Suffering comes from craving and attachment. If we are attached to someone/something so much that we come to believe our happiness depends on this person/thing, we will eventually suffer. Therefore, do not cling to anything.
If you think that your hapiness lies in the next thing you will achieve, there is no end to desires, and when you achieve that thing/status that you want so badly, it will turn out not to be a panacea and your head will already be wishing the next thing, so that will cause you suffering as well.
2. Another principle is non permance, i.e. the changing nature of the world. Everything changes constantly, no matter how much we fight it, so, again, we should not cling to anything, for it/him/her/circumstances might change any minute.
A good exercise to attain inner peace is meditation. Close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing. If any thought crosses your mind, watch it as a witness, let it go, and focus again on your breath. When you are able to keep your mind still, like a quiet lake, you will attain contentment and eventually spread it over more hours of your day.
If you are a believer, through prayer, knowing that God loves you and protects you and that he determines your steps. Feeling grateful for every way in which He blesses your life and praying for contentment itself.

You can't find it or obtain it...you have it already. It is your mind (ignorance, misunderstanding, misidentifications, etc)...that gets in the way.
You are peace...find out who you are (direct understanding/experience...instead of taking my word for it).
Contentment is not some future thing...you can only be happy or content now. If you chase it (try to find), you will never find it. If the respons is you are not content, that is the mind.

In order to find peace and contentment, I like to read the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ.
As I begin by praying, I am currently reading in the book of Jacob.
As I come to a passage that is meaningful and enlightening, I tend to mark it in red or circle the verse number so I will remember. Other times I will refer to the scriptures found in the Holy BIble as a source of peace especially during times of mourning and loss. Psalms and Proverbs come to mind.

study the bible, come to know God's purposes, associate with his people, pray all the time with thanksgiving, get baptized, go out and tell others about the glorious good new of the kingdom to have inner peace knowing you are in a spiritual paradise.

You can find and obtain inner peace through Accepting Jesus as your personal Savior, and building a strong relationship with Him. . Praise the Lord.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Having a relationship with Jesus is the only way to have inner peace and keep it! Praise the Lord!

I never knew what peace was until I became saved. Now the knowledge that God is in charge, & everything is on His schedule take care of my worrying. Of course, it helps that I am naturally a person that never worried about much of anything, anyway.
