When is it acceptable for a girl to hit a guy?

I'd say, self-defense and defense of others are ok times. I think in a war/battle that would be acceptable.

Are there any other times?

Shellvag -- if a girl cheats on a guy, is it also acceptable for the guy to hit her? Or are girls allowed to hit, and guys not?

O.k. - I will agree with the "trying to hurt her" and if he has JUST hurt a child. That would be acceptable to me too.

I'd also say that guys can hit girls in those situations.

twisteds -- yes, violence is acceptable when you need to resort to violence in self-defense or defense of others. If it will help avoid more violence, then isn't it acceptable?

Just make sure when you hit him, you can take him out. You get one shot. A roll of nickels works well.

If he is trying to hurt her (forcing sex is a form of hurting) and if he is trying to hurt or has just hurt one of her kids, grandkids, neices, nephews, kids she is babysitting for.

After reading shellvag's, and yes, when he cheats on a woman after making love to her, unless she wants to do something else like total his car while he's asleep. He he. :)

After reading your questions, I think in general, guys should act like gentlemen and not hit girls but open doors for them, etc. However, what is good for the goose IS good for the gander. If a girl cheats on a guy, I think it is accpetable to hit her. It is also acceptable for a female family member, etc to hit her. If she is attempting to hit his kids without his permission, and preferrably on the bottom in that case, he should also be able to hit her then, but only when all other measures have been tried, such as pulling the child away from her and telling her she is not going to hit HIS kids. If hitting is the only option to protect the child, then he must be a very weak man, physically. Kids should not be allowed to see parents, family ,etc hitting eachother on a regualr basis. If my son's ex. tried to hit my son in front of me, I would pull him away, tell him to run in the other room and then I would be dealing with his father, with my son out of harm's way. Spakning is a last resort when it comes to my son and he is very well behaved and knows that he is loved.

You must keep in mind that things cannot be totally equal, because men are usually much stronger than women and a woman should be taught to give it all she's got in fighting back in self defense. But as a rule, she should never invite these kind of siutations, and NEVER return to the scene of the crime, aka, take him back.

thing550> I see the point but you got it backwards. if the leaders did not see it so easy to send troops then there would be less war. A lack of troops would just invite violence (its the paradox of violence..being ready to commit it can keep peace and total rejection invites it). Which is why i think a senior senator should have to serve as a grunt on frontlines during any war....THEN they might not think it was worth fighting over

Well, It would depend how hard you hit him!! Anytime he swears at you, and will not stop, a slap may do him good. Okay, this in non politically correct in the US. But in other cultures this is done as a form of public punishment!! Check out the link that I found. In our society abusive men get away with far too much!!! Just don't do anything that will get you into trouble. Justice here is often blind.

I nevertheless think of that is incorrect I mean being gay would not substitute that he's probable larger then you definately and probable greater suitable. i've got heard gay men say that earlier yet i've got not seen them act on it. you have a precise to be pissed... At no time is it acceptable for anyone, male or female to hit anyone else, male or female.

However, if being attacked, or protecting someone who is defenseless against attck, all rules are out and you should feel free to do as much damage to the attacker as you possibly can.

I don't think so. If a person did something to you or said something to you to make you mad enough to hit them, then they are probably unstable at the time. If you strike an unstable person, you might get killed, or maimed for life. Would that be worth it? I don't think so. Best thing to do, is walk away, that in it self says volumes.

When she is a trained martial artist she will strike silent as a cobra and sleek as a jaguar. If she is just drunk and boo-hooing about boys being boys it is not advised. A little slap now and again for play though can be fun.

In the instances you have stated, except for war. If people didn't volunteer to fight, there'd be much less war.

There might be other times it's OK too, they should be considered on individual basis.
