Sorry Deke.....

I believe according to scripture that Jesus can come back at any time now.

Just think, the first century Christians thought that He was coming back in their lifetime as well.......all the more reason to be ready now.

Deke, you seem like an intelligent guy and you have a great sense of humor. I understand you're an unbeliever and that's cool. But I'm fond of you, so I'll give you a few more details than you probably anticipated receiving; however, there is a homework assignment at the end : (

First, let me say that today's Christians are well aware that all other generations thought they, also, were living in the end times. So it's no wonder that skeptics roll their eyes when we proclaim the same message. While past Christians have been well-intentioned, they jumped the gun and ignored HUGE prophesies that had to be fulfilled before the "end times" began -- most notably the nation of Israel had to be re-established (which happened in May, 1948 after roughly 1900 years of dispursion) and the Jews would begin to regather to the land, largely in a state of unbelief in God.

The NEXT event prophesied in the Bible is the Ezekiel 38 and 39 invasion. Ezekiel 38:8 and 16 tells us this invasion will happen in the "latter days," i.e. the end times. The prophesies tell us Israel will be invaded by a group of Gentile nations that hate the Jews. Now, here's your homework assignment (I PROMISE it's worth it): research the identity of each of these nations, particularly Magog and Persia. Next, research how long ago Magog was identified (this ensures Christians aren't bending history to fit our interpretation). Then see whether there has EVER, in all of history, been an alliance between Magog and Persia as there is now (the answer is no, but you should confirm this claim). Now look at the news carefully. When this invasion happens, God will confirm for you that He is real and the time of the end has begun.

In our church, and most others, they are preaching that the end is near. I know I have heard this for a couple decades. I am sure they have been stating this for hundreds of years!
If you actually see the signs around you, like the war, Israel becoming a nation again (1970s), the turmoil of religious wars in the middle east, plagues, natural destruction, etc... etc... It does seem to be reminisent of the commming of the end of days when God returns for the people who have accepted him. Read in Revelations. It is a humbling thought though, if you are prepared it should be a day worthy of rejoice!
It could be that our days are numbered here on this earth. Why take a chance and not be ready? Live each day and make every moment meaningful. Only God knows the answer. May he bless you and I will see you on that glorious day (I hope) !

and each era thinks they have solved a riddle. We under no circumstances have faith that no person will no the time. individually, i don't think the e book of Revelation has something to do with international events, it is a schematic of the bible. form of a Cliff's Notes difficulty. each and all the bible subject concerns are there, each and all the main significant characters too. it is even arranged numerologically like the books of the previous and new testomony. yet human beings can not have faith something elementary, quiet, logical.

atheist opinion here: While I do not believe the"end of days" according to scripture(an Antichrist world leader,a rapture, well that's not scriptural, but many people put it in their end times scenario,Jesus coming back, new Jerusalem, etc)Humanity is indeed at a crossroads,it seems as we are inevitably sliding towards WW III,and if a solution doesn't occur soon,we could very well be living in "the end of days"Because the Bible says there will be a war doesn't verify the bible. There have always been wars, but what makes this time special are the high stakes(the worlds economy) and the massive firepower that the world contains. Combine with the religious mania of fanatics who WANT Armageddon to happen,it may indeed be self fulfilling prophecy(minus the Antichrist thing and the judgment deal

I really don't worry about it. I think there are way too many people just assuming it's coming and they just sit around and wait. Jesus gave us a job to do, and I think we're not doing a good job of it. There are millions if not billions of unreached people, so for their sakes, I hope Jesus doesn't come back too soon. We need to be going about our lives, doing what Jesus asked us to do. If you're just sitting on your butt when He comes, what will happen to you?? Read Matt 24?? The parable of the Owner who comes home to find his servants either working hard or being lazy and what happens to each. We never know when He will return, so best bet is to be diligently working at your assigned task when He shows up.

Dude sorry, it's comming just turn on the news. WOW doesn't that sound alot like the calamities for told in revelations!

I guess that all you can do is to start preparing now.

Have you ever heard of the story of the Ten Virgins? Don't be like the five foolish ones who didn't have oil in there lamp. Prepare now.

Hey Uncle
I'm not sure if you realize how stupid your offer was. But if Christ does come within the next 15 years we won't have any use for the money. Either why you win, so don't feel like you've accomplished something when no one accepts.

well believe that either we are heading towards the end of times or one of the biggest revivals.as you look at history their are swings in sprititual lifes of nations and peoples life. that is what the books of Judges, Kings and Chronicles shows . that people will walk with God for a while and then the next generation will walk away from God.
