How can i go about finding my father?

Well, you gave no information on the situation. Have you had no contact since birth? You can search on-line for his contact information (phone number) if you know his name. If it is a common name, you will have more trouble. If you know what state he lives in, you can search for marriage/divorce/driving records. If you know what state he was born in, you can search for his birth record which may give you a little more info to go on (like his parents names). If you know the county he lives in, you can search tax rolls & voter registration. Not all of this information is available for every state and every county. You just have to start looking. There are sites that charge a fee but help you search. You will need to know his name of course and you can narrow it down by knowing his age. Below is an example of a people search site. I would suggest you start with the Social Securty Death Index - no sense searching if he has passed. That link is also below.

I dont think that anyone really understands what you going thru. I have the same problem. I am not sure if your mom is alive(mine is not), but if she is and she hasnt said anything, she probably doesnt want you to find him. I tried both Oprah and Tyra, and still have no feedback. Try the embassy from the country where he's living. All they ask for is an id/ date of birth. Good luck.
