How in Gods name would this interfere with his TV? If you both have cable have him call the company for a service check. And you should do the same. It will show you tried if it goes further.

Now it just might go further as this is not normal behavior so you need to protect yourself. Each time he comes over write down the date, time and what was said. This is valid in court and with the cops. Then you tell the cops that whatever the issue is you still as a woman feel uncomfortable with all of this. The cops are not doing anything because they need something to go on to pursue anything further.

If this guy was normal you would just try to work it out. Or he would attempt to sue you or something. At this point he is just looking like a crazy neighbor.

Definitly pull the you are beginning to feel unsafe card and document everything.

Is your computer messing up his tv? I can't see how it could, but just to be on the safe side, you could ask someone who might know, say at the local electrics shops.

If there is no way your computer could be causing his problems, he needs to get a new antennae or something, but it's not your problem.

Next time he comes to the door, tell him you have looked into it and your computer is not responsible for his pronblem. Also tell him very firmly (but don't yell or swear) that you do not want him to contact you anymore, that you have done all you can and that you will report him for pestering you if he continues to do so.

Phone the cops and tell them what you have done, all the steps.

That way, even if they don't do anything this time, if he comes back, you can phone them and complain he is trespassing despite having been warned. That is an actual crime in most places.

Also, advise other neighbours (if you can) about what is going on, and next time he comes, call one or more of them to come as witnesses. That may deter him.

Keep notes of what you do, the dates and any comments, from this point on. Personally, i would not open the door to him after the one warning.

This is a form of bullying, and he needs to stop doing it. But to be on the safe side, check out about the tv disturbance first and see if there is some simple thing you can do to stop it hapening. I seriously doubt it, but it could be worth it to make it go away.

Good luck and every best wish :-)

If he thinks that it is your computer that is causing the problems with his TV, he quite obviously is crazy. However, as to what you might do, you might want to try telling him that you have it turned off when you're not using it (perhaps because you got sick of his bitching). Another thought would be to actually talk about him, and figure out exactly what he things about your computer might be causing the problem or what is happening to his TV. It is mildly possible he might listen to reason... maybe... Anyway, if you do say you keep it off he might begin to associate that your computer is not the one causing the problems.

Tell him the next time he bothers you about his crappy TV reception that you will call the black helicopters on him.

just kidding.

Ignore his calls and his knocking on the door.

The cops should at least visit him, he's harassing you. Bug the cops till they do something about it.

Your neighbor sounds nuts.

Even if your computer is interfering with his tv, you have every right to use your computer in whichever room of your home you choose. After all, it's YOUR home. Tell him to leave you alone or you'll file a restraining order. If he still bugs you, file the restraining order and keep complaining to the cops until they tell him to leave you alone.

Offer to turn off the power to your house/apartment (turn it off at the power box so he can see you really do it) and see if this will improve his tv reception. If it does fix things you both might need to come up with a compromise - work out which appliance really is causing the interference, suggest moving his tv to another room, or get him to switch to a different antenna.

Tell him your computer is in the shop getting repaired. He'll see his TV still sucks and leave you alone.

I'd F with the dude, I'd get frequency jammers and other such gadgets. Install a fake satellite dish and point it right at his TV. What a DeutchBank!

If his TV is close to your computer, it's possible that he's right.

Why not find out if turning it off makes his problem go away. If it does, then you may have to move one of the machines apart.

Computers SCREAM out interference at very high frequencies, and they can indeed affect a poor television signal. Make sure he's not right.
