hey all...

i was wondering if anyone could help me out with ebay..

i dont understand how the seller fees work..

now my question is.. does ebay charge for the insertion fee+final value fee+service fees altogether? or.. just one or the other...

im COMPLETELY lost.. any help would be great..

and any tips would be helpful too

one more thing.. does ebay charge the flat fee as well?

You pay an insertion fee for the advert this will vary depending on the starting bid price - a fee if you want the picture showing in the gallery so when people search they see it, then if you sell something you are charged a final value fee which I think is about 5% also if you take Pay Pal you are charged again for this - although I find its well worth it saving waiting for cheques etc ....so you need to bear all these costs in mind when thinking of a selling price......finally dont forget about packing bubble wrap & tape & boxes all cost money so you need to add extra to your postage charges....contact me via e mail on Yahoo if you get stuck I do sell on ebay as a hobby

The insertion fee is charged to your account when you add the listing; the selling fees at the time the sale is made. It is then billed on a monthly basis. So it's only actually deducted from your bank or paypal account once a month.
