I used to do that a lot, but then stopped. Problem being when you really need to relax, you are immune to the incense sticks so they no longer have the nice healthy affect. Mum is right, because if later in life you have a 'problem' boyfriend, illness and think 'I will feel better if I burn a incense stick' the affect will not happen because you are immune, have over used the incense.

When I began burning incense in my home I soon discovered that it was a trigger to migraine headaches that would lay me up for days. I switched to scented candles and found the same problem. I went to a candle shop and the lady there suggested I try soy candles, made from soya beans and essential oils.
There are many wonderfuls scent are completely natural and contain no chemicals. I would suggest that perhaps you try them instead of incense.
It may be a good compromise for you both.

I hope this helps,

Sharon

If you have allergy or asthma, there may be a problem.
