Because you have good common sense.

Definition of PERFECT (Merriam-Webster): being entirely without fault or defect.

There are many examples in the Bible, if one really looks, illustrating how God is not "perfect".

Though people mean well with answers like: "God is perfect, it's humans that are imperfect and are sinners," they've actually been socialized to believe that and they really don't know any better. I used to be the same way in the past. I talked a lot about things I didn't understand, religion being one of them. So I don't fault others for doing it. It's all they know. If they would take the time to do some research though, they would not be answering this question in quite the same way :)

Because God isn't perfect and the Bible actually confirms this. He gets jealous and is full of anger and vengeance. He even hates and lies a a couple of times. He also claims to have made evil. There is one passage when we see in some translations that God cannot help his people because the enemy had some bad-assed chariots so he couldn't stop them. I can even confirm these by using Biblical passages but I won't even bother.

God is imperfect in that his very "inspired word" is full of flaws and contradictions and the whole "sin" and "dying for sin" actually makes no sense. The whole message makes no sense if you break it down and examine it logically. Why would god's "inspired word" lack scientific facts we know today and clearly show that it is a product of the time it was written in. So no God is not perfect and man makes his Gods in his own image.

God created the first man, Adam, as a perfect human being, in His likeness. But when Adam was tempted and ate the fruit that Eve, his mate, gave him, he defied God's command not to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. That very act opened Adam's eyes to what is good and what is bad and became conscious of his' and Eve's nakedness for the first time. That act started the way for man to use his will freely, to make choices be it good or detrimental. To act according to his will. Why blame God for the evil that mankind has done? God made us perfect but we were just too greedy, too obsessed to take what is forbidden. Why blame God for everything and anything that is happening around us when we only have ourselves to blame for our greediness, our obsessions and our hatred?

Perhaps we, as a tormented society, have a different perception of perfection? God is perfect, in that He is the being that we are supposed to be shaping our lives after. It is not His fault that so many have chosen selfish paths and thus, have strayed from His initial view of what His creation was going to turn out like. It goes back to Eve and eating the forbidden fruit. God was in the midst of creating His "perfection" when she strayed from His requests and ruined it for the rest of us.

Becuase God is not perfect to you. Maybe you haven't decided yet who god is to you. Ironically, most men choose a god or gods to follow and in most cases they don't claim their gods to be perfect, but perfectly powerful. I consider my God perfect but I worship Love. The energy and the spirit of love but then I have never quite found a religeon that I agree with.

Christians are lost sheep. They think the know the way from the teachings of the bible. The bible is so distorted and has been distroyed through the centuries to procure power for the greedy. There is no way for anyone living today to know anything accurate. The worst part is those sheep are to afraid to even question the authenticity of their information.
Believe only what you can see hear and feel. Good luck I hope you find answers for all your questions.

You have to understand that god does not create evil.. MAN (woman) creates evil.

God made people to be good, We are the ones that messes things up. WE are the ones that created rapes, plunders, and murders....

Of course their God is perfect. For ANYONE who lives in fantasy-land, their dreams are perfect. A bit like Michael Jackson, perhaps?

God gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. You can't say that God is responsible if we make our own decisions. If you were to ask me, I'd say that whole flooding the earth thing was his mistake he admitted to, and gave us rainbows in the sky to remind us he effed up and won't do it again. That right there would show he isn't perfect.
