I said it before and I'll say it again.... the PS3 is just warming up..... give it 6-8 more months and you'll see it's FULL POTENTIAL.
The learning curve for developing games on the PS3 is MUCH higher than on a 360 or Wii. Once developers get to really tap into the PS3's raw power, a lot of the people knocking the PS3 and saying that it's garbage will be left feeling REALLY stupid.

it depends on what you want to do with it
PS3 - many ps1/ps2/ps3 games, many RPG
X360 - many good games, partial backwards compatibility (with harddrive, core systems cant), better online (until home is released for PS3 in september/october)
Wii - good for party games, though you will get bored playing by yourself for more than an hour
as i am a JRPG fan, i would (and did, on november 11 here in japan) buy a PS3 if i were you, though if you prefer shooters then X360, if you like interactivity and arm flailing fun (don't flail too much or you might lose a tv) Wii

What about it?
The PS3 is the premiere video game system/console available right now.
Now if we could just get some games that use it's full capabilities instead of the xbox360 ports that don't even jog it's processor.
