My boyfriend likes to talk dirty... I find it surprising since I come from a conservative family. Do guys mean it when they talk dirty?

You just have to make sure that he's good on more down-to-earth topics as well! Else, he could turn out to be just a sick pervert!!!

its from being around his dirty talking mates too much. But it is a horrible habit for most males. You should really tell your boyfriend to stop it and hope he accpets it. If not then he doesnt respect your family...
Talking dirty is a way for guys to seem tough. sometimes they mean it sometimes they dont. But dont take it personal. He might be just trying to impress you.

if he only talks dirty to you, it means that he felt more intimate and open to you than any other people since you are his girlfriend, the person he desire sexually (in a way)
If he does that often ,to anyone he likes it means he has a bad habit..A rude one..
When he talks to you in such manner ,he is either giving hints or making some jokes surrounding the topic. It showed that he has sexual interest in you and would you to know in a cheeky manner.

That doesn't surprise me - if he can't let it out at home, then he has to be able to express himself someplace...
And as for meaning it - sometimes we do mean it, and other times we just say things that the mood/moment inspires. At least he feels comfortable enough with you to open up this way...
