I've never been able to fall to sleep fast. My mind just never calms down. I just dont know what I'm supposed to do when I lay down? Am I supposed to think about something to help me sleep? How do I relax? How do some people sleep in 5 min while it takes me an least an hour or two, sometimes four! Once I'm asleep I'm out cold. I just need help getting there.

Try not to drink caffeine or eat anythig with caffeine in it at least 2 hours before bed. Try not watching tv or talking on the phone at least 2 hours. TV can be depressing. and Phone conversations can be draining. Try and not have a tv in your room either, rooms are for sleeping. Try and body to recognize when it hits the bed it should sleep. Dark shades also help. If your not sleepy, or are falling asleep do not get into your bed or go in your bedroom until you are absolutely ready to pass out. I hope this helps.

Try the Hong-Sau breathing technique to clear your mind and calm your body down. Drink less coffee, never within 6 hours of going to bed. Work less, and make sure you finish outstanding tasks - don't leave things unfinished if you're likely to think about them.
