Military service is a sacrifice and you have to follow orders but people admire you for patriotism since military service is the ultimate love of country.

You can't, unless you would like an all expenses paid trip to Kansas. (Leavenworth ring a bell?).

You voluntarily joined up knowing there was a war going on and this was a possibility. As hard as it is it's the way it is so stop whingeing, lace up your boots and do what has to be done. Reread your Army values card.

I'm really not trying to be obnoxious here but I am so tired of people complaining - if you don't than you leave someone else's back exposed or force others who've been there done that to do it again.

Just remember God is in control not the Army and if He can take care of you here He can take care of you there.

Methinks someone didn't read thier contract...as usual. Look, if you are in the Army ,you can sign up for four years all you want but you still have an 8 YEAR obligation. Until you have served your 8 year obligation, you are still at the mercy of the Army.

probably because the military has a "by two" rule which means that after your initial time is up your "on call" bassically for two more years...
Don't feel bad my fiancee is 6 by 2 but after your time is up just don't reenlist =)

PS. Your not obligated for 8 years (only on 6 year agreements) only the time of the contract PLUS 2 more years so if you signed up for 4 your only obligated for 6 years.

get fat. and get kicked out. i know not an answer you want to hear, but its an answer. i never did that, and when i was close to my weight range my different units threw the years did everything they could to keep me in.

eithor way if you are going back remember God has a plan. even though we dont see it you perhaps might change a total strangers life and not even know it. it could be someone in another unit you just interact with for a min or two. Good luck and God bless.

well all i can say is your stuck . i feel for u . see u are a prisoner . the army tricks people into entering telling them " oh no , theres no war going on , no thats the media" and then lies on its contracts . all i can say is us hippies are fighting for people like u . we understand that u are not the one that wants to kill or even be there but its the *** wholes in washington , who most of them have never even seen an army base , and then turn around and send our troups out to war . well just live everyday to the fullest and rember we arnt mad at u , were mad at them .

I dont remember what its called, i think concincous objector. Anyways claim that you feel it is moraly wrong to kill someone regardless of who they are, what they have done, etc. This takes a long time and usually gets rejected but i think its the only shot you have. I have several friends in the military and have seen what it can do to people that spend too much time in the sandbox....

Good luck.
