sheik ~ a status given to a male of high islamic knowlege and practice / old in age
sheika ~ a status given to a female of high islamic knowlege & practice / old in age.
it is usually sarcastically said though. just to show a sign of a knowlegable female, but usually it isn't reguarded as a serious thing as a sheik. a sheik can and is usually an imam.
