My uncle also had repeated attacks of malaria that he contracted in the 60s. He changed to what is essentially a macrobiotic diet. His attacks did not cease, but they were less severe and didn't cause him to miss any more work. So, I think there is some reason to believe that building up the immune system helps your body fight off the attacks. It could also have been entirely coincidental. Some medication the VA gave him in the 80s completely eliminated further attacks. I read recently that some malaria seems resistant to current drugs, so that could be a problem.

If you are having recurrent malaria, it may be that the parasite is resistant to whichever drugs it is that you are taking, and so not all of them are killed. Make sure oyu see a doctor - they may suggest you take a different type of drug for it. Also make sure you complete an entire course of anti-malarial drugs.

To protect from re-infection - make sure your bed net has no holes in it, and that it has been recently treated with insectide to prevent the mosquitoes from coming close to it. Also, use insect repellant if possible in the evenings (mosquitoes bite most at this time), and try to cover up your skin with full length trousers and long sleeves.

There is no dietary solution to malaria.

What do these have to do with malaria? as far as I know you should see a doctor and get it prescribed first and make sure you have malaria. Then there is treatment for this now.

Malaria? Get away from the mosquitoes and get some rest. Eat healthy, but that won't get rid of it.
