get out and go travelling. by changing your environment and meeting new people will help you think about your friend in a healthy way and not in a depressing way

the best way to get over someone by far (when you're a guy) is to find another girl. you dont have to be with her just find a girl you can mess around with. you know the kind of girl you dont develop an emotional attachment for and she doesnt develop one for you. or if thats not your style then find a new better girlfriend. another idea is to go to a crazy party where there is a bunch of girls and beer. girls lapdancing and jukin and freaking ice cold beer itll be like heaven for you. or just call up your friends and tell them that you need their help and have them take you to a hot club and get some drinks in your system make sure you dress good if they are really your friends they will help you out

Put her under a bridge that you intend to walk across.
This is allegorical I'll admit, but you asked and that is the best answer I could come up with for you.
Once you've crossed that bridge I believe you will not only have walked over her but have gotten over her.
Make it a real nice bridge with a lovely creek under it that has flowers, and frogs, and pollywog's, butterfly's, and blue birds flying under the bridge and soft grass for the girl.
At least it won't degrade either party, by you walking over her to get over her.

Time heals all wounds--that cliche is so true! You need time for yourself to realize that since you guys are apart, perhaps you were not meant to be. There are LOTS of great ladies out there who will spark your flame, TRUST ME. She's gone, but that doesn't mean your world has fallen apart, keep on truckin'!! Go out and do things to distract yourself..."They" say that it takes on average, one month to get over somebody...Heartache will subside, hang in there!

Just go and have a look on a dating site, you will see girls that interest you and knowing they are single will make you think, far out I have choices here, you don't have to register, I just do this myself when a girl rejects me and i get over it quicker and just move on because it helps me realise there are more out there
