You have one big kidney and one small kidney.

You have two kidneys.

(Some people don't)

Without further information it is impossible to tell if your kidneys have just grown like that or if one of them is bigger because of some condition, or if one of them is smaller because of some condition.

Conditions exist that may cause either.

I'm sure if there were other nasties you would have been told: eg kidney stones, hydronephrosis +/- obstruction

If we could know about other conditions (eg diabetes, known renal disease, high blood pressure, etc), past conditions (eg recurrent urinary or kidney infections, cancers, whatever) and about the medications you take including over the counter medications and herbal preparations we might be able to contribute more information.

Most people have one slightly larger than the other, it doesnt affect them at all. If the degree of size difference is large it may have some bearing on your health, but people can manage fine with just one working kidney.
