if so, would psychoanalysis help to free them do you think?

Psychoanalysis is used to help sane people realise and overcome their problems and complexes and in so doing to cure themselves.

religious people have a warped sense of reality. Psychoanalysis will not free their minds. Getting some good education might make them see the light. They'll have to be deprogrammed first to get rid of all the indoctrination.

Being religious is a form of mental illness. see the link provided.

Guilt complex? How so.

"religious people" is also very vague. I used to have a backlash on the organized religion I was a part of but I rediscovered how cool it feels to have a relationship with my G-d. Now I fully realize that its a personal faith and I don't expect ANYONE to understand it or believe it (or even care for that matter), but I think assuming people with religious affinities have mental problems is wrong.

No,but you are living on the fringe of losing the only thing worth anything in your life.Your immortal soul.
Accept the truth now. There would not be any purpoise in our being here if there were no God!
If i am wrong then i haven't lost a thing, but you have lost everything.

And what makes you think we need to be freed? From our perspective, we have been freed, and it's you that needs to be saved.
