no it doesnt hurt as bad as the belly if you got thru that pain **** this is a peice of cake. i have pierced many labrets and never had any complaints so go for it and good luck as for the healing well just like any other piercing take care of it and keep it clean especially the inside where the saliva hits the piercing but you clean it properly with ocean salt water and a qtip around the base where dried up pus might build up you will catch it a couple of times with your teeth but thats normal dont get scared it will be fine in a week or so

I am a guy so i never had my navel done. but i have had my tongue done and it hurts less then that.

I had my labret done, i wanted it done for about a year. I liked how it looked but hated how it felt in my mouth. Keep in mind for the first few weeks they give you a longer stud for the swelling that happens. This longer stud grinds against your front teeth. and if you are not care your bottom teeth could actually get caught on the bottom of your piercing. I didn't like the idea of having metal scrape against my teeth. Also i had to try and hide it from my job which didn't work out too well. I was forced to remove it.

I'm not trying to scare you or turn you away I'm just giving you my experience with this particular piercing. If you think you can deal with the scraping then get it done and enjoy it!

i got my monroe done yesterday. it hurt less than the bellybutton piercing, but it bled more. Eating hurts, it made me bleed today and yesterday. take care not to get infections. It's about the same healing time as belly too, according to the piercer. can change it in two weeks, just keep it sterile.

it doesn`t hurt at all...if you`ve had your navel done, then u can do this no problem!!! it takes about 6-8 weeks to heal, maybe longer because everyone is different...
