Walking on water
Matthew 14 v24, Mark 6 v47 and Luke 6 v19 make it clear that the boat was far from land, so hidden platforms can’t explain it.
Matthew 14 v29-31 states that Peter was briefly able to walk on water, and then Jesus had stop him sinking.
Mini-floats on either Jesus’ or Peter’s feet would have been noticed by the other disciples, several of whom were former fishermen and not easily fooled. The technology needed to create such floats didn’t exist back then; wooden floats would have bobbed to the surface if dropped overboard and would have been too large to be easily concealed.
Water into wine
It would have been almost impossible to fake under the circumstances described. Six stone jars, probably belonging to the owner of the house, so no hidden compartments at all likely.
The jar were described as having a total volume of between 450 to 690 litres. The wine was deemed to be the best wine by the master of the banquet. The servants and disciples would have spotted (and exposed) any tampering.
So neither could have been faked, a “stage magician” or faker would have been easily exposed as such, especially during Jesus’ public ministry. His followers would not have stuck to a false faith under the persecution that they suffered. So the only thing left is divine intervention, as much as you may dislike the idea. Jesus had the power to do such things, freely given by God, his father.

Good question, it can be explained quite easily actually,Jesus was a Jew of the house of David,His life has been documented with some detail up to the age af about 10,then he doesn`t reappear in the Bible until he reaches about 20 or 23,during this time he was being taught in the ways of the presthood of the time.A jewish ceremony that is still carried out to this day in certain sections of Judeism is the Passing over. This ceremony requires the pupil (once attaning a certain level of knowledge and competence ) to pass through a gate and over a small bridge that spans water, his followers/family can not follow him as it is a right of passage.Jesus did walk on water but only in this context. It has been now taken literally and has now attatched itself to mystic miracle powers, all it was is a distortion of the bridge ceremony.
Hope this clears things up for you...Those who will want to mark this down had better do some research on Judaeic priesthood practices of the 1st C.
Oh Isee the thumbs down have started, but the truth is the truth,IT IS CALLED THE CEREMONY OF WALKING ON THE WATERS

God is God, he created wine and water and the ability to walk so he can do whatever he wants. If you read the Bible it will tell you how it was done. God-turned-water-to-wine. He stepped on the water and walked. The the creator of all things, he doesn't need a "scientific explanation" to do anything haha.

Here in Canada we regularly walk on water, we also enjoy
skating on it and snowmobiling for about 4-5 months
apple jack is an alcoholic drink made from slightly fermented
applejuice-cider left out to freeze, then tap the ice block
and draw off the alcohol that didn't freeze, has a nasty kick!
the Miracle might be the desert freezing over, although they
actually get quite cold at night.

Showed the power and the glory of God
Only he could have done that
Could add that those who saw Jesus walking on the water and calming the storm said only God has power over nature. They could not understand at the time either. They were amazed. It's in the Bible and if you do not believe it then that's up to you
Do we know the mind of God in our human capacity?
You are looking for logic and sometimes we have to believe what the witnesses have seen and some things we see only through the eyes of faith. There are a few atheist supporters on here!! If you need an explanation for everything, how is it that scientifically in the expansion following the BIG BANG, material was able to travel faster than light?

He used the power of the holly priesthood! He is the son of god and god created the universe. I ask you exactly how did you type this question? Give me no less than 300 single spaced pages to detail to the atomic level and if you would be so kind to the subatomic level include all of your ancestors life histories and how they all made you and tell me how did you come to your computer and write it down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't use shortcuts like my great great great great grand mother came to your country by ship tell me exactly what the water and wood particles were doing to get her there OK!?!

Just because you don't like an answer, doesn't mean it is not being answered. Sometimes the only answer is it was a miracle. Do you believe in evolution? Explain to me how an accident gave you a free will, and sight. Explain to me how you can taste food. did this happen by accident?

When the disciples saw Jesus `walking on water` he was merely walking along the foreshore, the water of which was only an inch or so or less, so it looked as if he was.
Religious-minded people would believe anything which they think `proves` miracles.
It`s properly called `self-delusion.`
Also, some spiders and other insects actually do walk on the surface due to the make-up of their feet pads.
Another way to delude people is to place a wooden plank just below the surface and walk along that - it has been done.

He was able to walk on water because there were sand bars hidden just under the surface. I 've walked on them and got pics taken of me doing it and it does look like you are walking on the surface.
The watere into wine thing is prbably a fake. I do'nt beleive he existed anyway. how can you tell with a bokk written over 2000 years ago. For all we know Jesus could have been a charachter in the Harry Potter of the day!
